The dress is not too form fitting and it still gives you a feminine shape. It is simple & casual, but also elegant & classy. You can dress it up or down! I wore it with nude open toe sandals and I think it looked nice. You could also pair it easily with cute sneakers or your favorite Converse! ( I bought the dress in blue denim too & paired it with my maroon Converse and it was a super cute combo! ) I did order this dress in a large originally, but it was a bit too big & frumpy looking. I returned for a medium, which fits much better. The material is fairly lightweight and suited for summer. I believe the material was thick enough, offering good coverage and it was not see through. I did wear a slip but I don't think it's necessary.

This dress is a nice mid-weight material that should be comfortable for spring through early fall depending on where you live. I originally ordered a medium as Amazon suggested but found it too tight in the bust. For reference, I am about 5'5" and 150 lbs. but have a hourglass, curvy shape with a D -cup. The top part fit but would have required a pin to two for safety. The large was a more comfortable fit with no gaping. I hand washed on cold and laid it flat to dry. I did not notice significant shrinkage in length or overall size. Be aware that this is viscose and requires a cool iron after washing! Overall, it is a comfortable every day dress for work that could be dressed up depending on shoes/accessories. I really like the overall style and am ordering a different color.

I am 5'8 and weighed around 180lb when I got this dress (I ordered a large) I am now around 200lb (pregnant). It still fits! The tie in the front is cute. The material is breathable and good quality. I love the pockets! My only complaint would be that there is some gapping in the buttons so that could be a problem for larger chested women. I am normally a 34 C and don't think it would gap for my normal cup size however being pregnant has me in larger cup size so more gapping. I think this could be an easy fix though. I do feel like the dress is a little shorter then advertised but being pregnant would affect that as well. It has made a great maternity dress and I plan to use it when I am breast feeding as well.

I was surprised that the hem is not straight around as the picture suggests. it sort of rises somewhat at the side seams, if that makes any sense. I am 5’ tall and weigh about 130. Initially I purchased a medium but had to exchange for a large which fits better around the hips. The length hits me about mid leg which I like. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable. The pockets are deep enough to hold my phone. In black this dress serves my need for a simple, inexpensive casual frock but I think it will last perhaps a season and then I’ll move on to something a bit more high quality.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This dress is perfect for the summer, made of lightweight, breathable material. It’s easy to wash and requires no dryer at all, so it comes out wrinkle free. The cut of the dress is flattering to all figures, and fits more loosely without skimping on showing off your curves. It’s the perfect dress for any occasion, being both classy and summery. I have 3 of these dresses; one is a size small and two both in mediums. I talk walks in my neighbourhood it’s n the mediums, and wear the small about town, to social events and to church, as the hem length is ideal for revealing only what is modest for church, even if you’re Catholic! My favorite features are the side pockets with a light and deep, and even with my cell phone or wallet, there’s little pull on the finger drawstring waist. I also like the color selection. I just happened to be wearing the green one today. It’s 90 outside and I was cool enough in the dress to take a walk. Brilliant. I highly recommend purchasing this dress in your size and favorite color. Have a fun, breezy, classy summer!

This is a great basic dress. I have a hard time finding dresses that fit, due to a long torso, but this one works, so I bought it in 2 additional colors. The fabric is good too, thick enough to be sturdy but still lightweight and breathable. It even has pockets, that can be used for things as heavy as my phone, thanks to the fabric and waistband. The only con is I'm not wild about puff sleeves, but they're subtle and I like the just-below-bicep length. It would also be nice if there was a knee-length option. But I'm pleasantly surprised regardless.
