first the pros: the fabric is decently thick and robust, not sheer or flimsy. this gives it a good drape, skimming the body rather than clinging to it, and ensuring it isn't see-through. seams appear to be finished adequately, unlike many fast-fashion items, and there is an internal button to secure the cross-over at front. the sash is plenty long enough, not skimpy. the cut is rather nice, with a sort of ruffle effect at the cross-over. because of the fabric type, it doesn't stick to what you have under it. now the cons: this is not for the office (unless your office is a pole dancing venue or street corner; in which case, you do you). nor would i recommend it for a funeral... it gaps madly at the top. you will likely need a camisole or tank underneath. otherwise, you and everyone else will enjoy a view of your torso from neck to navel, nearly. even if you adjust it, it's not going to stay there. the front overlap area also is going to show pretty much everything about your legs (at least) if you move or sit. the overlap panel isn't super skimpy, but it is not cut to stay put with any movement. the arms are on the slim side; this is a very stretchy fabric, but plumper arms might find the sleeves a little like sausage casings. i have discernible biceps and slim arms otherwise, and there is no excess fabric on these sleeves anywhere. if you have a fluffier body, i'd look at the plus sizing on this garment. why i gave it 4 stars despite this: i bought it mainly to wear as a top layer over other things, such as my yoga clothing, or a quick top change for dining out after being on a motorcycle. and for my purposes, it is pretty good. it packs small and is a convenient thing to pop on over yoga pants to go out afterward for coffee, or to slip over a tank and riding pants/leggings in a car park to look respectable enough for a nicer restaurant. so the revealing aspects aren't a problem for me, as i have layers underneath, and i find it a convenient, stylish way to effect quick changes without a changing area. if you want it for a similar use, or just don't care how much skin is showing, this could be the ticket.

I ordered this dress last minute for going into the office tomorrow. I work from home, so it's a once in a blue moon thing, and I have gained some weight since the last time I've had to go to the office, so my old clothes don't fit. It came on time, and the dress far exceeds my expectations. The fit is excellent - I'm thick in the hips and thighs, but ordered by my waist measurement. The material is good quality, and the dress is well constructed. Furthermore, the ruching along the belly is so flatting. The fabric is light enough for summer, but could easily be paired with cute boots, tights, and jacket for fall and winter. I already ordered this dress in two more colors.

This is a very nice dress and flattering to my apple shaped figure. I am 5'6' and if I buy clothes in a store, I wear a size 18 or 1X. If I buy them online, I usually have to go up a size or two. The 1X fit me perfectly, so it really is true to size.

As soon as I tried it on I knew the XL was too big. The sleeves’ armholes look more like a dolman sleeve. I reordered in Large and hope it’s not too tight. Sometimes nothing works out. But I hope this wrap dress does because they can be very flattering.

I really wanted to like this dress. It fit well except that the sleeves were tight. I had read reviews of the sleeves being tight and should have listened. I wanted to wear this dress for a summer wedding but it was a little heavy and I thought it would be too warm so I returned it.
