The sweater was soft and fit well, but the color is a very dull, dark red, or bright red as pictured. If you like that shade then you should order it.

I always look for turtleneck or mock turtleneck sweaters but I have a thin neck so most sweaters end up having the neck droop down and/or get stretched out by moving my head throughout the day, which I hate. I figured at this price point, it wouldn't be a major loss if I didn't like it and I would just wear it around the house. I love these sweaters! I have both the mock and regular turtle neck in a few colors and will probably purchase more. The mock turtleneck is high enough to keep your neck warm without having to fold over and "cuff" the neck- it's almost to the top of my neck but isn't tight or restricting. Same thing for the regular turtleneck, when you fold it over, the neck doesn't droop or stretch out by the day's end, which I love. The material is on the light side, so when it gets really cold, I'll put a thermal top underneath. I'm 5'3", 120 lbs and got a medium. I wanted it a bit roomy for when I put another layer underneath. The material is very soft and it washes nicely. I let it air dry to minimize shrinking but on a few occasions, it's gotten thrown in the dryer- no pilling, wrinkling or major shrinkage. These sweaters are definitely keepers! Some people have said they run big, but I've found medium to be comfortable without looking bulky or oversized. I'd say if you are between 2 sizes, which I am (between medium and small), maybe go for the larger size.

Usually I order sweaters in Medium because I don't like them tight fitting, but I really should have ordered Small for this one. The bust area is 39" across, and the length is close to 27" from the back neck to the hem. For reference, I'm 5'2" and weigh 120. It's a beautiful sweater, thin and lightweight. It would be fantastic if paired with a nice jacket, which is why I bought it. I would keep it if it weren't for how long it is. I am returning it for a size Small with my fingers crossed for shorter length. I hope Amazon starts offering clothing for petite women.
