I recently bought a pair of jeans at the mall, so I figured I’d order the same size in these. Turns out these run large, and long in the crotch—I can pull them up to the top of my rib cage. (I know these are high rise, but this is more like mega high rise.) Since I just wanted comfortable pants that would look OK with an untucked shirt, I kept them, but if I were to order another pair, I’d go down one size. The photo makes these jeans look like high waters, but their length is fine, hitting at the middle of my heels rather than floating above them. I was in search of the perfect boyfriend jeans. These are not them, but they are not awful either (kind of mid). I read the reviews, looked at the pictures, and took measurements before buying. I am 5'8, weigh 160lbs, and have a pear-shaped body. I gave a 3/5 because, honestly, I was hoping for more. 1) Upsize x1 size from your current fit if you have larger hips/buttocks, are curvy, or have a larger thigh area. I normally wear a 10-12, but I bought them in a 14. 2) If you are pear-shaped-girly or have larger hips/thighs and a smaller waist, you are going to have a significant gap in the waist if you upsize; with a belt, it does not look bad. They are high enough quality that you could have them tailored at the waist if you wanted, but a belt does the job. 3) Like all boyfriend jeans, they have a long crotch area and are meant to be worn high. They are definitely not hip huggers or mids, they are high waisted. 4) Surprisingly, these hit a little below the ankle. As a tall girly, this RARELY happens. I still would have liked a couple more inches long, but I was happy with this. If you are under 5'5, you are probably going to have these bad boys hemmed. 5) I NEVER dry my pants; I only hang them to dry, but I do use fabric softener. That said, the texture is a little stiff after washing. They are not soft. 6) When styling, I prefer a more form-fitting top to show shape or a bagging loose shirt to give the look more of an alternative/ dark girl aesthetic. The top and shoes really change the vibe of these pants. Overall, they are okay jeans, but I gave them a 3/5 for gaping in the waist and they are not the most flattering fit; I could have stood for a waistband fit on the waistband and maybe a better quality material. ... show more

These fit better than expected. I was nervous getting them because they were high waisted. I would say they are a little higher than I would like, but I still wear them I little lower and just have more room at the crotch. I have been buying Levi’s for years and they just kept getting skinnier leg, lower waist, bad material, and don’t even get me started about the pockets. I tried the Amazon jeans thinking I can always send them back. I was very pleasantly surprised. Legs are a good “relaxed” width - not too baggy. Fabric is a great weight with just a little stretch to be comfortable, but not enough to feel like you are wearing leggings. Actual pockets! Pockets that you can actually carry your phone in or some cash and not be checking all the time to see if it has fallen out. Price is great. Well worth the $25 or $30 a pair. Sizing is a bit tricky. I bought a size 4. Originally tried a size 2, but it was tight around my waist. Size 4 is comfortable in the hips and thighs, but a little loose in my waist area. I ended up keeping it since it was comfortable enough.
