These are nice pants, especially for the price. I was actually a little surprised, as I expected them to be a little on the thin side, but they really do feel well constructed and look good. I haven't laundered or ironed them yet, so I can't speak to wrinkle resistance, but I can say they fit true to size. I'm either a 31x32 or 32x32, depending on the pants and cut, so I opted for the 32x32 and they fit well. The inseam is just right (I've had some 32 inseam pants that are borderline short). Overall, I'm definitely happy with the pants. They were just under $16 on sale, which is crazy cheap for a good pair of chinos. Great quality and durable. The material feels well made and has held up great with regular wear. The fit is comfortable—not too tight and not too loose. Easy to move around in and comfortable enough to wear all day. Definitely a great value for the price.

I buy these for my husband in both black and the medium blue shade. He loves them and wears them all the time. They are comfortable and not hot. The cotton is a good weave, very smooth and doesn't wear out. He wears them to work at the office, around the house and on stage playing guitar (he also has to lug his guitar, amp, and sound system around, so he's hard on his clothes for someone who does not do manual labour). He takes a 34" inseam and these are juuust long enough. I haven't measured them, but they might come up a tiny bit short. They are not tight on him, so I would say they are definitely true to size in the waist and hips. The only other reason they are not five-star is that the black colour fades with wear (actually, the blue does, too, but you don't notice it; I can only see the difference in the blue when I compare pants of different ages). It is true that black cotton always fades, perhaps because I line dry our clothes. They might not fade as much in a dryer, although I do dry them inside out, in the shadiest area possible... Twice now I've had issues with these Amazon Essential Pants that are not the khaki color. I've tried the khaki colors and they're a perfect fit but when I try the black or the navy or any other color other than khaki and I choose the same size, they're wrong. They're either slightly, like, one inch off or maybe an inch and a half. The waist feels different. It's not as tight; there's something wrong with the make of these pants. The thickness is perfect but the length is wrong. Everything else is great about the pants. That's the sad part. The material is good. It's versatile, it's lightweight, definitely breathable. I am 5'6 160. I have an athletic build so I originally bought the athletic style, but I thought they were just too baggy. Especially around the hips. I reordered the straight fit 31x28 and they fit perfectly. Seeing that I have muscular thighs and calves I didn't want to risk the slim fit. Waist is good and it's clean all the way down with a small break at the end. Ideal for work which is why I got them. I would suggest washing them in warm water and dry them low. The tag says 97% cotton so you get the fabric of cotton. Good price. ... show more
