I wanted a lightweight hoodie for work so I could be red without wearing out all my nice red sweaters, this one seemed perfect. I'm 5'6" 155lb woman with a muscular hourglassish shape that makes things difficult, the shoulders and arms are just too small in most women's styles. And men's clothes tend to be better quality anyways. I got the large in red, and it's nice and baggy with good drape over my curves. While the medium probably would have fit better I didn't want something possibly skintight for work. Especially if it shrinks, that hasn't happened yet with Amazon brand stuff but can't risk it. The quality of the fabric is fine, it's tshirt thickness, doubled at the hood and kangoo pouch. Doesn't feel like it'll get too hot, I just hope it holds up for a while without sprouting holes. My expectation was that it would be essentially sturdy t-shirt material, but this hoodie is much softer and cozier. Even if it's not really thicker than a tee in the body, the hood is double-layered so it feels a bit warmer. Very nice for layering under a jacket or flannel button-up shirt. I'm about 5'10" with long arms and torso and size Medium is just right, pretty good length. The hoodie also has a decent amount of lateral stretch to it, although I'm slim so this wasn't put too much to the test. I know this is labeled a light weight sweatshirt but sweatshirt it is not. It’s basically a t-shirt with a hood. Yes it’s comfortable but warm it’s not. My hubby is 6'3 & about 220 lbs range and this fits him perfectly! He always has issues with sleeves never being long enought and this is just long enought. I would advise you to hang dry it so you don't lose the perfect length in the arms due to shrinkage in the dryer though. The material is like a thin, but not see through, cotton t-shirt. My husband loves this top! He loves the relaxed fit and soft material. And even better for me... I can put it in the dryer and it does NOT shrink! My husband is 6'4 & 250lbs and I ordered him an XXL. It was not tight at all (VERY relaxed fit).

Normally I wear large in most shirts. Sometimes XL depending on the manufacturer. I bought XL thinking I want my hoodie a bit baggie. This hoodie fit me tight. Not really snug but definitely not loose. I will have to get the xxl. Oddly enough I also ordered an XL plaid Sherpa hoodie on the same order and it was loose as I expected it to be. When I buy good quality clothes (like Duluth), I fit very comfortably into a Large. After I had ordered this went back to try to change it to an XL remembering this, but the only way to do it was to lose my points I'd used by canceling it. Anyway it just came and is on the tight side. I can wear it but probably won't try another amazon basics piece of clothing. Too bad as it is quite decent looking otherwise. Also it comes out of the washing machine with too wrinkles and is very soft. The sleeves are not too long for me which is rare. ... show more

Bought this for my son. He says it is lightweight, perfect for fall or spring weather and he really liked the color. His only negative was that the elastic around the base is a little tight for him but a size bigger would have been too large.
