One side of the mat is white and the other side is off-white/cream which worked well for me. I made the mistake of not realizing my at-home 8x10 photo was actually 8.5x11. Once I got that fixed, it was fine. I found the best way to get the protective film off both sides of the plexiglass without scratching it was to rub the pad of my finger at one of the corners to start peeling.

The four frames were well-packed and arrived in good condition. There is protective sheeting on both sides of the glass and to remove it I had to scrape the corner with my fingernail a few times. Even if it doesn’t seem like it’s working, just keep doing that and then you’ll see that the corner is down a little and you can pull the sheet off easily from there. It’s very thin!! The frames themselves are nothing special, but functional. There are minor marks on some of the mats but nothing very noticeable. The main thing is that the glass is not glare-free (see photo), so keep that in mind as you think about placement!

Be careful when pulling off the protective film because it’s very thin plastic. I cracked one just trying to grasp the film.

They are nice but if you are looking for something expensive looking these are not it. They are just plain white frames. Not heavy. For me it worked

Received these Nacial picture frames in good time. The 4 frames were packed very well - each frame was wrapped in plastic with protective cardboard covers on each corner. Together they are in another bubble-wrapped bag and all in a secure cardboard box. There are also 4 mounting inserts for each frame which can be secured on the edge of the backing board and also 4 small mounting hooks (prenailed) included. There's a card with very clear instructions on how to use these items (mounting inserts & hooks). Each frame has a very nice, clear plexiglass that is coated with a protective peel-off plastic sheet on both sides. The frames are simple wood, nothing elaborate which is what I wanted. But for the price and the care & attention that is shown in the packing and shipping - for me a great buy! Very pleased!

These frames were perfect for what we wanted and we thought the price was reasonable. However, the matte had black spots, possibly front the packaging. Amazon did issue us a credit with no problem.

I wanted lightweight, clean frames and these have those exact qualities for the cheap price. The protective adhesive vinyl on both sides of the plexiglass kept the glass damage-free, but it left a black print on the glass when I took it off. Cleaning alcohol/isopropyl alcohol will get rid of it right away. The glass and back of the frame feels slightly loose, but it wasn't a problem at all, and really for the price this is a great product.
