I have a one-year-old dog that is high energy, super picky and has trouble keeping on the weight. This is the highest calorie food with decent ingredients I could find at this price point. My pup eats this with no qualms. And I'm starting to notice that he looks more solid. I can see muscles on his legs now when he walks. He's still slender, because that's his build. But I can't feel his spine. I now need to watch that he doesn't gain too much weight.

NOTE: pics in listing says made in USA put, bottom of pate turkey cans say; product of CANADA!! there was no hesitation eating this new to our dogs brand. my pup ate it so fast that i thought i didn’t feed him enough (german shepherd they grow like weeds and need loads of calories), nope he just loves this pate way more then he likes his beyond wild turkey duck pate. which i am glad since that brand price seems to be going up to $32 for 12 cans! this pate is on the too moist side to me, i suppose it will make it easier to mix with kibbles when needed though.. i do prefer the texture of the beyond wild, i feel that you get more actual food weight with it since it is not overly moist like this wag brand. still this wag is good too, no peas and fillers. Dogs really love it and i like the price better so we will be switching to this IF the next 4 cases subscribed to for end of month do not end up with mostly really dent up cans! this was my only dislike with this brand, the cans seem more fragile and apparently dent easily for all but 2 were dented in while the case of beyond wild in same box with it was perfectly fine.. made me question wether the smell of the food was normal or not for it smelled weird!!

Not all of my cans were dented but a good 4-6 of them were. Haven't opened a can yet so I will be updating this review to share the quality of the food and how my dog likes it.

The Wag pate canned is great. The dogs love it. I am pleased with the product, BUT, I am very NOT pleased with the shipping packaging. The box was literally falling apart and barely closed, and out of a 12 can case, 11 of the cans were damaged. I will probably go back to buying canned food from C.hewy again. It costs more, but the packaging is excellent and all my stuff gets to me undamaged. Amazon did not used to be that way. Their stuff used to be packaged well. This was an Amazon product, not a storefront purchase. I only wish I'd gotten pics of it. Didn't even think about it at the time.

My three dogs love this canned food. Two Westies and one Shiba Inu. It is a bit more expensive than the usual that I buy but well worth it the way they howl at the cans when they want their breakfast. I will have to try the dry food next.

Well...as the human writing this I can NOT vouch for the flavor but my dogs loved it. I as the human absolutely was not impressed when I saw the Pate inside. The gelatinous goop grossed me out...I mixed it up in a bowl so the food consistency was improved, again my dogs loved it. I only mixed a tablespoon of the pate in w/ the dry food in each of their bowls. I see ppl whining, I mean complaining that it gave their dogs the poops. I suspect that they failed to do a gradual switch over to the new food & just dumped it in their bowl upsetting their dogs tummies. That is human error not the dog food. The ingredients seem fine & the arm chair veterinarians should close up shop, bury that bone & some need to understand their dogs didn't suddenly develop serious medical conditions overnight from switching food, your dogs already had underlying health issues escalated probably by the sudden change.. but the "woke" group will blame anyone for issues rather than acknowledge they may be responsible for somethingin their life. So again, my dogs loved it & are currently showing their gratitude by cleaning my toes (he is obsessed w/ feet when happy) I hate it & other 1 is bringing his toy to me to tell me he is wanting butt scratches after his breakfast (he doesn't fetch but thinks by having his baby in his mouth that means butt scratches.) Yes my dogs are strange but happy!
