  • The quality of the ingredients in this brand is so valuable.
Flavor Name: Chicken & Lentil Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
The cost of dog food has risen so much with inflation and I needed to find a more affordable product for my dog babies. I couldn't compromise their well being and so I did my research and came across Amazon's brand of dog food. I checked out the ingredients and saw that the quality is actually better than the bran I was using which was costing me $90.00 per 35 lb bag . I tried small bags at first, the lamb and the chicken. It took a little time for my dogs to try so I mixed some plain rice with it for a week. Now they have no problem eating it. Better ingredients, healthier. And half the price, what's better than that! ... show more

  • Our dogs appreciate the higher protein
Both our dogs need the higher protein values offered by this WAG brand feed and are thriving. In fact our Catahoula was very malnourished when we got him and looked to be not long for this world, but feeding him this food allowed him to recover at a more rapid pace than he would've had we fed him on any of the other lower protein brands. The only criticism I have is that the flavors seem to go out of stock at the most inconvenient times lol, and that sometimes the replacement item Amazon offers is not remotely comparable. Our 2 go through a bag of this a month and seem to enjoy it way more than the others we have tried, so a worthwhile investment in their wellbeing to our minds. Great value for money and the other reason I have it as one of our subscribe and save items, We cannot praise it enough and would not think of changing to another dog food even if it was free! ... show more

  • Amazon brand is not bad
Flavor Name: Lamb & Lentil Size: 4 Pound (Pack of 1)
Thought I would try this brand to see if my dogs liked it versus some of the more expensive brands and my dog seem to like it just fine. I also tried their new topper which I put on top of the dog food which they like as well.

  • Finally a healthier food Max enjoys!
Flavor Name: Beef & Lentil Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
I thought my dog was a picky eater, but it turns out I just hadn't found a food that we could agree upon. After researching affordable and healthier alternatives to the food I had been getting in bulk, I decided to try Wag and my guy will eat it out of the bag if I don't get it in the container quick enough! Or even the container, apparently . . . ... show more

  • Quality food, exorbitant price
Flavor Name: Chicken & Sweet Potato Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
First and foremost, Wag dog food is good. Very good, in fact; it's ingredient profile and quality is similar to high-end pet foods. My Boxador (Jax) and Shiba Inu (Thena) both love it, and it seems to love them -- lustrous coats, no digestive issues, and a clean bill of health all around. Now, here's the problem: there was a time when Jax was a puppy and Thena was but a glimmer in her daddy's eye when Wag was actually an affordable dog food option. Over the past two or three years, Amazon has consistently raised the price, to the point that it is no longer the same "budget" option -- when you're paying Wag prices, you may as well choose a more well-known option. I suppose there is something to be said about doorstep delivery, and while Wag isn't the worst choice, it doesn't seem to have the same veterinarian recommendations backing it as something like a Purina Pro Plan or Blue Buffalo. With the constant price increases since the COVID-19 pandemic, Wag went from a no-brainer budget option to a premium-priced competitor to higher end foods. To that end, the choice isn't as apparent as it once was. All in all, the food is good, but the price is getting out of hand. With its competitive advantage (price) removed from the equation, you may as well go with a different dog food. ... show more

  • My pup absolutely loves this food!
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
It’s definitely a good food without completely breaking the bank! The salmon in the food along with additional salmon oil has made his fur so soft and silky! He thinks this food is to die for too!

  • Awesome Dog Food
Flavor Name: Salmon & Sweet Potato Size: 24 Pound (Pack of 1)
My Silver Lab has very bad allergies including ear allergies and have tried several different brands. I had him on wellness but it’s double the price and seen this was Amazon brand and I am very impressed . My vet also said that it contains a lot of great ingredients in it

  • Food is of average to low quality and my dog’s digestive system did not react well to the food.
I bought this last month to try with one of my two dogs. The ingredient list looked good, and most of the reviews were favorable. I figured I’d be scientific about it and did the following test: Both of my dogs are labs and are the same age and both are in good health. I usually feed two cups of food once per day of my old food. I took roughly a week to wean one of my dogs onto the food. I looked at my dog’s weight and stool for results. There was no change in eatin habits. Both of my dogs are labs. They scarf food like no tomorrow. My dog that is eating this food has had consistently larger poops (which generally signifies filler ingredients that they cannot digest) and looser poops. They were so loose that they were sometimes even diarrhea. Furthermore, my dog eating this food has lost weight. (Again, filler ingredients) I have since weaned him back to his old food and everything has gone back to normal. So, pros for this food: Cheap. That’s really about it. It’s on the same level as convenience store purina dog chow. Cons: Lots of filler ingredients. This means you need to feed more for a dog to get the same nutrition. This basically removes “cheap” as a mitigating factor. Makes my dog sick. Loose poop, bad gas, eating grass. This means digestive issues, and it started with this food and ended when I stopped. Summary: Don’t buy this. Amazon needs to reformulate this food. ... show more
