We hung these on the side walls of our sunroom. When the sun rises it hits the east wall of our sunroom. The sunlight on the windows turns the sunroom into an oven. Even with the sliding doors open the room would become unusable. I looked into hanging roll up wicker shades but didn’t want to spend that much on something our grandkids might damage. I seen these and decided to give them a try. So glad that we did. We are sitting in our sunroom on an 80 degree day the day after we installed them. They blocked the morning sun that used to turn the sunroom unusable. I put my had against them when the sun was beating down in them. I could feel that they were absorbing the heat. The room was remaining cool. The west wall gets sun that disturbs us as we eat. The curtains are perfect for that too. As for appearance they look ok. I don’t think I’d want them in my living room but they are perfect for the casual aspect of my sunroom. There are some wrinkles in them and if they don’t come out on their own in a few weeks we’ll try our clothes steamer on them. Still wrinkled or not they look good in our sunroom and are doing the job we bought them for. On top of that they were a mere fraction of what we would have paid for wicker shades. ... show more

There is very little design in these. Basically just a flat color sheet. Wrinkle show up very prominently. They do blocked light well.
