This comforter is a great down alternative and is a really nice, bright color - no duvet needed and it is such a nice shade of blue. Two drawbacks: it doesn't "breathe" like a regular down comforter, so the heat builds up very, very quickly and you start to literally sweat. Literally no air escapes; also, it is very noisy. Imagine wearing a padded windbreaker to bed --- every time you move or roll over, the rustling wakes up your partner or the animals sleeping at the foot of the bed!! This comforter is pretty great. I went to Macy’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and spent hours online, this is one of the only few which had 100% cotton exterior with down alternative. The white one I bought looks pretty great. These are almost as heavy as the bed in a bag comforter set you find at Target etc. Not too hot but warm enough (with AC set to 7OF/21C), heavy enough for snug feeling, happy middle ground between what vikings might want in the nordics and what Southern Californians might want in winter time. ... show more

I’ve been using this for a few months and I love it. The 90x90 fit perfectly in my duvet cover. It’s not too heavy, not too light. Keeps plenty warm in winter, yet not too warm in the summer. It’s very soft, easy to wash, and just the right amount of fluffiness. I highly recommend!

I was looking for a heavier comforter that would breath well. Plus it had to be soft on bare skin. I'm super happy with this one. My last comforter was actually around $500 and I loved it for years. Unfortunately with that one I had to have it dry cleaned. This one is just perfect. It's as cozy as my super high end one and I don't have to spend a fortune keeping it clean. I washed it in my washing machine soon as it was delivered to me and I dried it in my dryer on low heat. It came out flawless.
