I actually didn’t use this cable much because it didn’t sound like the sound quality was all that great. Instead I used one of the XLR cables that came with one of my older microphones which outperformed (at least in my perspective) this cable. This cable is a nice length and thickness so that is no issue. The look is pretty standard. The connections are a bit bulky, but that’s fine. I just didn’t trust this cable to handle rejecting interference enough. My cable was running through tons of other cables as well. If you need an XLR cable, this is fine. I would recommend shopping for a better quality cable though.

The media could not be loaded. It's a good cable, been using for years! Easy to hook up, with a nice thick feeling cable that looks good if you have good cable management (while not me it still looks great). Definitely pick this up if you need an xlr cable for your mic

From my previous experiences, I generally think of AmazonBasics as kind of a no-frills brand. However, when I was looking around for a shorter XLR cable (most of mine are 15 or 25 feet), I was shocked to see the AmazonBasics cable. First, I didn't think there was enough XLR cable sale volume to warrant them carrying them under their brand. Second, the product images looked pretty good. No, the cables aren't colored, but you can solve that with some tape at the ends. The cable itself is a light gauge affair, with a decent amount of insulator. It coils easily and doesn't kink, and while it's a bit less heavy duty than most XLR cables, it seems more than good enough for my needs. I would say, though, that you will want something heavier if you want to tape these directly to the stage. They are perfect for on-camera, in-rack, of, on-table applications. The thing that made me notice these cables in the product photos, and ultimately what made me buy them, was that the interconnect is encased in metal. While it's not technically necessary, I really appreciate the extra durability on the highest wear part of an item that is used all of the time. If I have a clumsy moment, I don't have to worry about having trashed the end of some of my audio rigging. That leads me to my last observation... XLR is usually used in professional setups, which favor things like locking connections. The tab on the male end of the cable worked well with EVERYTHING that I tried it with. The clip and release on the female end was less than perfect. The mating plastic (not exactly a gasket), kept a couple of my cables and devices from clipping in properly - that was 2 of 15 tried. A few of the ones that fit only clicked when a large amount of force was applied. While the lock release is textured, it's not comfortable to use if you need a lot of force to release the clip. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I thought I should mention it. If you need a good quality XLR cable with good durability, and you don't have to use it unguarded on a trafficked floor surface, this should be excellent for you. Highly recommended.
