    • Works great for travel and temporary blackout!
Color: Black Style Name: 1-Pack
We love these!! Just bought them for a family trip! Kids stayed up late and we wanted them to sleep in. We put these up on the window and they actually worked. It blocked out the sun and our kids slept in as planned. These portable blackout shades are super handy for blocking out light when you need it. The suction cups stick well to windows and they really do a good job darkening the room. They’re lightweight, easy to pack, and simple to put up and take down in just minutes. They don’t look fancy, but they’re very functional. As long as you don’t mind a temporary setup, they get the job done really well. Great value for the price if you need portable blackout coverage. ... show more

    • Ingenious Design That Actually Stays in Place
Color: Moon and Stars Style Name: 1-Pack
This Amazon Basics portable blackout curtain has been a lifesaver for maintaining our toddler's sleep routine during travel and visits to family homes. The suction cup system works remarkably well on most smooth surfaces, creating genuine room-darkening coverage that helps preserve nap times and prevents early morning wake-ups in unfamiliar environments. What makes this curtain exceptional is how effectively the suction cups hold, even with the weight of the full 50" x 78" fabric panel. I was initially skeptical about suction-based mounting, but these cups create strong, reliable adhesion on windows, mirrors, and even some painted walls. The curtain has stayed securely in place through entire weekends without any slipping or falling. The blackout capability is impressive for a portable solution. While not quite as complete as permanent blackout curtains, it blocks the vast majority of light and creates the dark environment our child needs for quality sleep. The difference in sleep quality when using this curtain versus regular hotel or guest room lighting is dramatic and immediately noticeable. The compact storage and setup make this incredibly practical for travel. The curtain folds down relatively small for packing, and installation takes just a few minutes with no tools or hardware required. Being able to create familiar sleep conditions anywhere we go has made family trips much more enjoyable and less stressful. The quality construction holds up well to repeated folding, packing, and installation. The fabric maintains its opacity and the suction cups continue working effectively after many uses in different locations. Highly recommend for traveling families - this delivers practical sleep solutions that make maintaining routines possible anywhere you go. ... show more

    • Great Option for Kids’ Rooms
Color: Moon and Stars Style Name: 1-Pack
Purchased to easily add light blocking to windows when we travel and the kiddos need to nap in a room without blackout curtains. The combination of suction cups and Velcro provides flexibility in mounting and the room darkening works well. It’s a great value for the price.

    • Excellent blackout, very lightweight, ingenious Velcro sizing
Color: Black Style Name: 1-Pack
Overall, I love it. Really blocks the light, and the Velcro adjust, ent is ingenious. I just wish the suction cups stayed, well, sucky for longer. After a couple of weeks they start coming off and have to be reattached.

    • Effective, easy installation
Color: Moon and Stars Style Name: 1-Pack
Review Image by Angela
These are really effective blackout blinds and the suction cups make installation super easy. I’ve now bought 3 of these. We have a really awkward shaped (hexagonal) window in one of our bedrooms (shown in photo), and while not the most aesthetically pleasing solution, this blind means the baby can sleep in that room (it was bright as day beforehand). Suction cups do come loose from time to time, but for the price I don’t mind re-sticking them now and again - I find a damp cloth rubbed on the suction cups before sticking down helps. ... show more

    • It does work
Color: Moon and Stars Style Name: 1-Pack
Despite the suboptimal performance of the included suction cups, this product offers significant value. Once securely affixed, it effectively blocks light, leading to a notable improvement in sleep quality. I highly recommend this purchase, with the suggestion that alternative suction cups be acquired for enhanced adherence. ... show more

    • Works well enough
Color: Moon and Stars Style Name: 1-Pack
My bedroom window faces east and the sun is directly in my face in the mornings and my blinds just aren’t enough, so I’m trying this curtain out. First of all, it’s huge. I had to cut it in half to fit my window, but now I have some extra to put in another window. The suction cups could definitely be better quality, they kept falling off until I scrubbed the window with rubbing alcohol and cleaned the cups with it as well and now they seem to be holding better. The darkness this creates is not as much as I had hoped for, it’s more of a “greyout” than a “blackout” effect, but better than nothing. The pattern is cute even though I can’t really see it being behind my blinds and the material seems durable. Overall, this curtain is decent and easy to put up especially if you don’t want to mess around with drilling holes in your wall and installing anything permanent. Perfect for renters. ... show more
