I ordered this a few weeks ago but I wasn't out of tape yet.. Finally ran out and put a roll of this stuff on my tape gun and am very satisfied. We normally purchase our packing tape at Walmart or Home Depot.. compared to the stuff we normally buy, this tape is thicker.. Adhesion is the same as far as I can tell, but it is definitely thicker. I was using it at 60 degreesF so I can't comment on its performance under really cold temperatures but our other tape didn't do well below 30 degreesF.. didn't want to stick right.. As for the size of the roll, this tape is designed to fit professional packing tape guns, not the cute little consumer tape roll holders. If you don't own a tape gun, I suggest you buy one. The price of this tape is cheaper than anywhere else.. You can purchase a higher quality tape like a 3M product, but you're going to pay a lot more for it, and the small benefits do not remotely justify the cost. This tape is an excellent value.. best value I've gotten so far and we go through 10 to 30 rolls a year, sometimes more. UPDATE: I have now had a chance to test this tape in cold(ish) air. Packing a box in the cold garage at 31 degreesF, I found this tape to adhere quite well.. better than my Home Depot and Sam's club tape actually. Not magically better, but enough to notice.. +1 for Amazon Basic's tape.

Tape is very transparent and sticks well. I package a lot of items so I prefer to buy in bulk and this pack of 12 lasts me a while and its at a great price. Its smells strange but they all do and its not as bad as some others. I really like that its more clear than yellow. Works very well.

These tapes are good for solid boxes or great for moving. They're very thick and strong so once it's taped, it will not easily rip. What I have noticed is with a thin card board that is bending in the middle, the tape doesn't stick that well because the box is creating gap. But if you have a solid box or anything else, the tape will stick very well.

Amazon Basics Packing Tape, bought this item, in 2022, we were packing up a lot of items, and had run out of the 2 different name brands we use Thought I would give Amazon Basics packing tape a try. It is Awful...found the several rolls, I had purchased, have tried, Emphasis TRIED to use, several times,,the tape does not fit into the stated core size, tape dispenser, any brand,] Attempting to start to use a roll, takes great patience, and time, to get the tape to pull in correct direction, and to get the entire width of the tape, together. The tape, more times then not, frays, while using to tape up boxes, I have wasted, multiple yards of this packing tape, trying to unwind, to where the first " fray " in tape roll occurred, no easy task, have used exact o knife, Swiss Army Knife, to attempt to cut through the wasted layers used up, by tape fray. Have spent more time, then I care to admit, just attempting to use the packing tape. I would ask for Full Refund, if I had used & noticed the intolerable inability to use. We have gone strictly back,, to 2 name brand Packing Tapes, we know well, and both function great. Buy the brands you know work. Would give rating a Minus Stars, if that rating were possible, since it is not. I STAR
