Recently I got into KonMari and decluttering, and wanted a new dresser to reflect the new changes in my life and wardrobe. I wanted something smaller than what I currently had, and lighter, too, since the prospect of moving something heavy up flights of stairs didn’t appeal to me in the slightest. I had my eye on this style of dresser, loving the look of the fabric drawers for a more casual look to my apartment. I also liked the 5-drawer set up, meaning I’d have to learn to be more efficient with my clothing storage but still have a decent way to divide my clothing up. The flat top leaves it open to customize however you want. I plan on using it to hold jewelry and other wardrobe accessories. It was easy to set up, instructions were clear and I wasn’t missing any hardware or assembly parts. You do need a screwdriver, and I left all the screws loosely screwed in until I had all the parts connected, then went back through to tighten them all up. All the metal pieces and top had no imperfections and went together as they should. The fabric drawers feel appropriately sturdy for what they’re made out of, but I do appreciate that replacement drawers can be ordered, even in different colors to fit your home’s vibe. For a quick reference, in one of the bottom drawers I put in 4 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of leggings, and 1 pair of sweatpants and still had a smidge of room to spare (display folded instead of an upright fold). The weight didn’t affect the motion of pulling or pushing the drawer in and out, but over-stuffing it would lead to your clothing catching on the width-wise support rods separating the two levels. This fits great in my walk-in closet, and because it’s so light for a dresser it’s easy to move. It isn’t very tall, so check and then recheck the measurements on the product page before you order. The smaller size is one of the points of this dresser that really appealed to me, but you do have to bend over to open the drawers. Though there are adjustable feet, I see these more as keeping the dresser even on uneven carpet more than trying to add any height. Overall I’m very happy I purchased this dresser. I bought two of these for my room! I love them so much! They help hide things away out of sight and are very sturdy. I put 2 of them together in less than an hour. Super simple. I was hesitant to purchase them because of other reviews but I'm so glad I did, so you should too! Not as tall most would assume but I knew they wouldn't be due to the description. This was exactly what i was looking for. It fit perfectly inside my closet for extra storage. We moved into an apartment from a house so we needed the extra space. Clothes can hang easily over it without touching the top part. Good price. Good quality. Took maybe five min to assemble.

The box came in completely mangled and had very clearly been taped back up! The longer pieces of the dresser are bent in 2 places to the extent that even once put together as much as I could it is unusable.

    • Fantastic Storage With A Pungent Chemical Odor

Honestly I am saddened by this item. The drawers look good. Its structure is sturdy and easy to assemble. The frame is Lightweight and easy to move around. Basically perfect and well worth the price. The only flaw is that the fabric drawers smell like they were drenched in cat urine. The have a strong chemical odor, similar to ammonia, that will seep into any clothing stored in them. The odor will also fill the room and spread to any adjacent room due to its potency. I decided after a couple days of the odor filling my house, I would order a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement dresser has the pungent chemical odor aswell. My next step is to figure out how to remove the odor without damaging the drawers, cause I really like this container. Normally I would just soak these in a soap or detergent solution, but the drawers are made with cardboard between the fabric. So soaking would likely disintegrate the structural boards and ruin the drawers. I first tried a "dry" cleaning by coating the drawers in baking soda and wrapping them up for a couple days, but that didn't do anything to remove the odor. (Prolly due to the chemicals still residing in the fabric) Next, I placed them outside in the sun for a week to be cleansed by holy radiation and hopefully vent the smell. But no luck there. Next, I think I am going to try and lightly moisten the fabric with a liquid detergent and dry them outside for a couple hours over the course of a few days. If that doesn't work, then I don't think this product is usable. And that really sucks, cause it fits perfectly for my living space. ... show more
