Very Stable and Easy to Adjust
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
I’m really happy with this standing desk. It feels very sturdy and stable, even when the desk is raised to standing height. The height adjustment is smooth and easy to use, so switching between sitting and standing takes just a few seconds. I also really love the colorit looks modern and stylish and fits nicely with my home office setup.

Beautiful desk and easy to adjust
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
Really happy with this desk! The wood finish looks even better in person and gives it a much nicer look than a typical office desk. The desktop feels spacious and sturdy, and I like the built-in cable hole for keeping cords organized. The height adjustment is smooth and easy to use, and the buttons are very convenient since I can quickly switch between sitting and standing heights. Assembly was pretty straightforward as well.

Good desk despite manufacturing problems
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
This is a pretty good desk, once you get it put together. As others have mentioned, the connector from the motor to the rod that transfers power to the opposite leg is not well made. That isn't to say it doesn't lift the desk and everything on it. On the contrary, it lifts well, quietly and fast enough for my needs. However, during installation, I ran into burrs and metal pieces in the connector piece that took me about 40 minutes to clean up enough to make the part functional. I could have returned the desk and got another. However, it delivered days later than Amazon stated when I purchased and I needed a desk for the work week. So I had to figure out the problem and resolve it. As you can see in the pictures I'm uploading, you can see these long "hairy" burrs sticking off the geared teeth of the connector. In addition, there was a metallic piece lodged between the teeth on one end, preventing me from being able to connect one side of the motor rod. To fix this, I used a small flat screwdriver to dig out the metallic piece by shaving bits off at a time. I then slid one end of the rod into the connector and used a hammer to for it through the rest of the way, ultimately clearing the burrs and stuff stuck in between the teeth. Again, after about 40 minutes I got the connector clear of debris and burrs and was able to make it work as intended. Once I got everything together, the motor is plenty strong to lift what I need for my desk. I would like to see a version that includes some pre-drilled holes so I can mount a power strip to the underside of the desk more easily, but that is something I did that really helps clean up cables. So I cannot give this desk 5 stars because of the installation problems I have. Other than that, the desk does everything I want it to do. I recommend this desk, but understand they do have production problems that may require you to either fix Amazon's problems, or return the desk if you are not up to making fixes.

Nothing "basic" about it.
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
This is, by far, the best desk you can get with your money. I was skeptical of the "amazon basics" brand because I I thought it would be kind of cheap due to the price. I've avoided other amazon basics products for the same reason, but I won't anymore. Setup was very easy, there was the exact amount of screws you needed, had all tools. There were so few steps, it was almost unbelievable. The desk adjusts very smoothly and you can save 3 height settings. I would prefer if they had a straight black color, as the fake walnut is kind of goofy looking. The desk is big enough to have two mounted 27-in monitors, a full corsair 350mm mousepad and a laptop without feeling too cramped. It's everything I need in a desk. Inexpensive, easy to assemble, durable, and adjustable. I'll never go to Ikea again.

More than some assembly required in my experience
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
Opted to buy an Amazon Basic product thinking there would be a level of quality control above the other brands available for less money. Typically in the past I’ve been happy with Amazon Basics products. Please continue reading as this was not my experience on this go around: Two of the pictures I’m including are of the splined coupler that connects the lift motor with the rod that connects to the other leg (aka the mechanism that actually lifts/lowers the desk top). The silver bits inside were excess metal preventing the coupler from sliding on to one side. I could not pry these out, and needed to use a dremel and grind away this excess material in order to have the coupler slide onto the splines. All in all it took about 3 minutes and was not difficult, but this was totally unexpected and may not be feasible for some people. As a result, I’m subtracting 2 stars due to lack of QC and needing what I’d consider “above and beyond” assembly that was unexpected. Your mileage may vary on this, maybe I just got a dud part. The other comment I have to share is the two halves of the desk top do not sit completely flush together either. In actual use, I have not noticed the very small gap, but appearance wise I can see a slight gap on either end. I may try loosening the screws and putting a clamp on to see if it pulls together. I understand the top is in two pieces in an effort to reduce the shipping box size, and as I said I haven’t noticed it while using a computer on the desk and could potentially be fixed, so I can’t detract from the rating on this one.

So Much Better than the Offbrand
Color: Black / Walnut Effect
Other than a little difficulty with putting it together, this is so much better than the various others I've purchased on Amazon. The last two I bought had screws going into particle board, and as you might imagine, they really didn't hold up. The previous one I had lasted a little less than two years until the motor failed. So here I am searching for a replacement and I saw the Amazon Basics one at a better price, so I decided to buy it. This one has threaded metal inserts for the fasteners, no worries about stripping out the holes. The fake wood grain even looks better. Additionally, my others had two presets, this has three, which is exactly what I needed. If you want a sit stand desk, I definitely recommend this one over the brands whose name you're not sure just how to pronounce.
