Glad this is back. I bought mine over 5 years ago and wanted an additional one recently and it wasn't available. Back when I bought it it was $12.73, it is now double that. Still well worth it though. I use it every day to hold my computer and everything from work - REALLY heavy to lift and this thing is still as good as new! When it finally breaks I will not be mad. I've gotten alot of use out of it. It washes well. Good amount of pockets. Holds a water bottle on the side. Not too big or small.

Some background: I started attending a 4 year university last year. I hadn’t had a backpack since middle school. In high school I only needed a binder and my purse to hold everything. Same goes for me stint at community college. So I was in the market for one. I guess I’m a little picky when it comes to backpacks because I had some things I was looking for that were either 1) hard to find on a backpack or 2) instantly made the backpack more expensive. I needed a backpack that could hold (at the time) my 15.6 inch laptop, a water bottle pocket on the outside (a must for me because I’m carrying tech and have had leaks before), one that wasn’t hideous to look at and wasn’t too big for my frame (I’m a petite 5’2” woman). I originally bought a $120 Vera Bradley backpack that was on sale for a cheaper, more reasonable price. I love that backpack but it always stayed puffed out. Even if there was hardly anything in it. It always was in the way in class or while walking around campus. I felt like a turtle. It was great for travel, but not class. So I bought a much small cloth backpack that looks similar to the Falljraven backpack - but much cheaper. I got a smaller laptop, so I could get something smaller. Again, a fine backpack but the straps would dig into my shoulders. Walking around with this on for a day causes my back to hurt so much. Not to mention the straps unsnapping and almost sending my new laptop plummeting to the ground. I looked at so many brands looking for a backpack that had all the things I wanted. And honestly, this is it!! I was apprehensive to purchase because of the silly photo on the description with the young woman. The backpack looked like a clown car on her and it didn’t match the photos that advertise it. If I had payed attention to the fine print and saw that the model was as small as she was, I probably would have ordered sooner. This is a new item for me, so I can’t really say how durable it is. But it feels sturdy and comfortable from the times that I’ve walked around with it. And for those wondering, the water bottle in the pocket is 40oz and 3 inches in diameter. Depending on what’s inside (I have my 13 in laptop with a notebook and folder inside when the photo was taken) if there is room to shift the contents a bit a big water bottle like mine can fit TLDR: this backpack is great! Buy it!

I've had this backpack from amazon for about a week so i'll just give my thoughts on this product. Prior to this back ive used a couple JanSport bags, and a Hiking bag. Ill try to get back with edits if anything changes. Pockets: Inside the main bag compartment there is a nice pocket that perfectly fits my 13 in Razer Blade Stealth inside a neoprene sleeve. This compartment is well padded, making me confident that my laptop will be protected from the contents in the main compartment. Right above that is a smaller zipper pocket that fits my laptop charger perfectly, This pocket is not padded. The main compartment has two more small open pockets, these are unpadded and have no zipper. This means that any of your items in this pocket can potentially fall out if you toss your bag around. I personally don't keep much in these pockets that can be damaged. The smaller compartment is nice and wide, usually i keep some small flash drives and my mouse in here. Again this is not padded so i don't put anything that can be damaged in here. Finally, on the outside of the bag you will get two side pockets with some velcro to keep them shut need be. I usually just throw an energy drink or bottled water on the go. Comfort: This bag has some pretty thin bag straps. This is fine for short durations, however for longer durations or with more things in my bag, it can start to get pretty uncomfortable quickly. I would have liked this bag to have slightly wider and softer straps. However for the price, this is not a bad trade-off. Aesthetic: This bag is plain. That is in no way an understatement. Its an all black bag with no accents or logo tags. When you open the bag, the inside has some light grey, which actually helps me find things on the bottom with less light. Price: If you need a bag that will do its job on the cheap then this is an amazing product. I personally have no issue saving some money and dealing with the shoulder straps. For the $12, this is the best price to performance bag i've personally used. Final Thoughts/Summary: The straps are a bit uncomfortable, however i would still get this over a JanSport for one main reason, this bag has some of the most useful pockets for in the main compartment for my needs. I would easily feel comfortable paying another $8 for this same bag and feel like i got a great deal. If you carry a good amount of heavy books then i would look for something with more padded shoulder straps, however if you are just moving from class to class, or in my case office to car to apartment, then i would wholeheartedly recommend this. Edit 1: I was wrong. There is a tag on the strap, its very discreet however i just cut mine off.
