The glass is heavy and appears to be good quality unless you look close. There are lines, not a pattern, that shouldn't be in the glass compared to the smaller version.

The glass with iced tea is the size I have been trying to match or find even slightly larger. These Amazon glasses are about a half to 3/4 of an inch shorter than I’m looking for. Very similar to some I just returned. I’ll most likely keep these, with the hope a glassmaker will produce these in a 6.5 to 7.5 inch size (or both) with the 1.5 to 2.0 inch base, yet remain a bit thin, not have the heavy walls you find in cheaper glassware. These are a medium weight, but still seem a bit narrower in the body than expected, they seem to slip a bit. I found the size that’s very comfy to hold (filled with iced tea) at a dollar store, but since then they have been replaced in same height, design, but in thick heavy glass. The Amazon glasses will meet the need for now, and do appear sturdy, just sad a dollar store glass is what I’m trying to match. These are the closest I’ve found so far, but are shorter and not as full in the middle. The empty, shorter glass, are the glasses you will receive, if you purchase these glasses. A simple drinking glass, if my son came in from a run, he’d easily need to fill this with water 2-3 times. I would most likely continue buying the style I’m trying to match, for decades, if someone would manufacture it. ... show more

These are excellent drinking glasses. They're extremely sturdy and bottom heavy, with sides that are thick enough that you don't have to worry about accidentally cracking them. They're taller than I expected - I got these to replace what I thought were identical glasses from Target (purchased years ago), and while they're very similar in style, they're definitely taller and sturdier. Still, I'm happy about those things and would buy these again. ... show more
