They stain easily. We don't know how but one of the hand towels and one of the bath towels now have yellow stains that won't wash out. It was probably some chemical in make up or shampoo. They're soft, kind of small for my taste (I'm over 6 feet tall) but my wife likes them. They hold moisture so we have to hang them in various places in the house to dry before we shower again. The hand towels almost never dry out and we're constantly swapping them for a dry one.

I purchased the teal set to supplement our existing, high quality towels. Mainly I took a chance on these because of the price, and I crossed my fingers that they would work out, and they definitely have. First, these are really 4.5-star towels, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Here's the one thing that kept these from truly earning all 5 stars from me. It's the lint in my dryer's lint screen. There's so... much... lint. I was shocked at how much my lint screen pulled out on the initial dry, and it didn't end there. It probably took me at least 5 wash/dry sessions to see lint that looked like what I perceive as normal. At first I thought my towels must have disintegrated in the dryer, but they were still there when I opened the door. However, it's two months later, and I think this towel set is great! They're perfect as far as size and thickness. They do a great job of drying me after a shower. They smell clean as expected. And here's a change for the better... no more excessive lint! Will I buy them again? Yes, absolutely. I'll expect a bunch of lint on my next order, but I'll also expect an excellent towel set long-term. These are very good towels, and I'm happy with my purchase.

So I got these towels about 18 months ago with daily to weekly use. I normally use the smallest towels at my desk to just wipe my hands while I am eating or doing little craft projects. The medium sized towels I use in the bathroom for my hands. Then of course the biggest towels I use after my shower. My focus here is mainly on the largest of the set. So these towels are what I like to consider the mid range of bath towels. There are those towels that are very thin and get soaked pretty fast, there are those that are heavy and can hold more water (which I think most people prefer, but gets a bit out of price range). Finally there are these that are right in the middle in my opinion. I am a guy, short hair, approx 5'5". I shower once a day and usually use the same towel for 2-3 days before sending it to the hamper. After I shower, my towel usually gets moderately wet, and will dry if I hang it up in a few hours or less. Fairly soft to the touch if washed properly. Color stays in for the most part, but it has been a while since I bought these so I can remember off the top of my head. I have no complaints about how the towel soaks or its color. One complaint: the threading at the ends of the towels are coming apart now so they are obviously not looking at good as they were on day 1. I have owned and am currently using other towels of different thread counts/weight that do not have weak sowings like these Amazon Basic towels. That being said, I like to have higher quality items when it comes to my everyday use (towels, bedding, etc). So I am unlikely to purchase these again. However there are times where I get strict on my budget. So if anyone is looking for a high quality towel for a low price like these, you can probably look elsewhere. If you are strapped for cash or don't care too much about a towel, go for it.
