I bought one a year ago to expand my guinea pig enclosure and it worked perfectly for them! As long as you use the connectors correctly, it will be very sturdy. I bought two more to expand it again and raise it and it was more than enough! I have plenty extra grids and connectors left from 3 orders in total. More than enough to expand again or to use for a play pen! For a raised 2 x 4 enclosure with storage like I did, I used 30 grids and 38 connectors total. Again make sure you place the connectors correctly to make a sturdy base. I provided a diagram explaining the way I built it. Both sides allow for storage! Again, love the grids. Perfect for making an enclosure for your little fur babies. Only reason for four stars is because sometimes a grid seems to be a bit smaller than the others or a connector doesn't seem to connect very well. Still a great purchase! ... show more

These are a good size for the cost. They are really flimsy. We used zip ties to help keep the boxes together, and it's still not great. Overall, I probably would not buy them again and spend a little more for a sturdier option.
