Although this is a very general school supply box, the age range in the product description says "Teen," so I though I'd order this for my high school kid, for the upcoming year. First of all, having all the supplies pre-packed in a handy box is like having an academic mystery box sent to your house. My kid loves a blind box, so, right there, this is a win. The box has *almost* everything a teen or college student could need to start off and go through the school year, including markers, colored pencils, #2 pencils, a sharpener, scissors, notebooks, and folders. I don't think my teen will be toting the pencil box to school, but it's nice to have as storage. A binder pouch would have been nice in its place, for this age group. The whiteboard markers are a good addition, if the set went to a teacher or college student; typically my kid doesn't need those for school, but can use them at home. The gluesticks are actually very handy, as high schools don't often ask for them, but there are still sometimes charts or diagrams to add to a notebook that require glue or tape. My teenager liked that the colors of the accessories and folders are interesting, but totally gender- and fandom-neutral. The box and supplies are blue, and the folders are gray and purple. In combination with a binder, this is going to be so useful for starting off school in a prepared way, without having to piece a school supply list together at multiple stores. We are going to have to supplement here and there with a couple of specifics (graph paper, a calculator), but the majority of our supply list is covered here.

I'm honestly surprised that Amazon's competitors didn't already come up with a concept like this. Where you can order all your school supplies (for the most part) in one go. Talk about convenience! While we didn't need every single piece in here for elementary school, most either were on the list or are helpful for at home! I did mark one star off because the glue sticks leave a lot to be desired, which is pretty important for school activities. However, the pencil box, folders, markers, colored pencils, scissors, etc. were all very helpful for us to cross off! I'm excited to see this continue to grow in variety for different ages and specialties.

This is a great complete set for back to school items. There's one wide ruled notebook (good for 1 class and if you take copious notes would probably last half a semester). The composition notebook is standard sized pages and also wide ruled. This is great for elementary school classes, but my teachers wanted college ruled notebooks starting in middle school, so if your student needs that, these notebooks are not going to meet that requirement. There are two folders that are three hole punched inside so your students can secure their papers. There are three dry erase markers, 2 highlighters, 6 pencils (pre-sharpened), 10 washable markers (all different colors), 3 dry erase markers (3 different colors) and 12 colored pencils (pre-sharpened). These are great unless there's specific needs for a class on the colors of highlighters, markers and colored pencils are needed. The colored pencils are the standard colors you get for a 12 pack, but when I used it, the color was a bit on the duller side. The scissors are pretty sharp and work well. There are also 2 glue sticks, 2 erasers and a standard pencil sharpener with capacity for 2 pencils. Overall, great basic items especially for younger students. May not meet all needs, especially for students in higher grade levels.

This is an impressively well-done supply kit for younger students. The lack of pens, and the markers and purple glue mean this is definitely for elementary age students, but for a student that age I see no glaring issues with this; it's a solid kit. The pencils are presharpened. Nothing has any logos on them. The pencil box latch is a pain to use; I would hate to use that every day. That's my only complaint here. The dry erase markers smelled faintly of vinegar, which I prefer to the noxious Expo smell. Overall, i'm impressed, both with the all around sufficient quality, and the convenience of all these supplies in one.

This is a great set to get the ball rolling on school supplies! I have always been fond of the basics brand as I find they have good quality items at a good price. This set has mostly everything you need for middle grades. There is a chance it may fall short of you have a really specific list, however I feel this set has mostly everything you will need. I also think it’s nice for a gift as well for those who need a little help this time of year. Overall it’s a big time saver and definitely something that I would recommend!

This is a box that contains a large assortment of school supplies. These items include both lead and colored pencils, washable and dry erase markers, high lighters, block style erasers, a pencil sharpener, glue sticks, and a pair of blunt tip (children 's scissors). Everything fits nicely into a clear plastic case include included in the box. There are also two pocket folders, a spiral bound notebook, and a standard composition notebook. This is a convenient collection of useful items for school work. I especially liked the assortment of bright colors of the pencils. The erasers are a high quality that will provide a clean erase of pencil marks.

This is an all inclusive back to school kit that includes almost all of what a child will need at the start of the school year. It includes everything that's advertised, quality is marginal but it's what you'd expect with a kit like this. Plus, the price is fantastic; for what you are getting, it would be more expensive to buy all these items individually.
