I needed curtains for the sliding door in my house and found these blackout curtains from Amazon Basics. It comes in 2 pieces, with grommets. This product does not come with a curtain rod, so you need to already have one or purchase an Amazon Basics one. First off, the quality of these curtains seems sturdy and durable. The texture feels high quality, not flimsy or cheap. I have cream-colored walls, so the black is a beautiful contrast to the kitchen. According to Amazon, these curtains are machine washable, so there is no special precautions to take. It is made of 100% recycled polyester, so they are sturdy. I like the features of this curtain which include noise reduction and thermal insulation, since it blocks 100% of the sunlight and sun's UV rays, therefore keeping your home cool during hot sunny days. To test the blackout feature, I put an 800 lumen work light stick directly on the curtain from the back, front-facing. It blocked 100% of the light, as you can see from the picture I posted. I was pleasantly surprised. Installation is simple and easy. I haven't washed them yet since I just got them, but machine washable and tumble dry is extremely convenient and simple. As per item description details, you can use a steamer to get rid of wrinkles. The size of the curtains depends on what you select for your purchase. I highly recommend these curtains if you're in the market. Five stars all the way!

The media could not be loaded. We have pets in our house. I never like to order expensive fabric curtains that could be damaged by paws or accidents outside the litter box. For that reason, curtains made from polyester have been perfect for us. They are much easier to maintain. So, when I saw these 100% blackout curtains, I knew I had to order them. We have a streetlight directly in front of our house. The test of any curtains I put in our front room is whether that very bright light is at least muted. We cannot see the light at all through these curtains. I ordered the 84"L x 52" W in navy. The panels have grommets and were very easy to hang on our existing drapery rod. The blue color is not too vivid. It is a darker shade of blue. I like the quality of this set of curtains. They don't look or feel cheap. I also like the solid white backing. The coating should help with the heat that comes through our front window in the mornings. The curtains came folded, so there are quite a few wrinkles to hang out. In the past, I've found that letting them hang for a few days works best with this type of curtain. Overall, I'm happy that these curtains really do block out 100% of the super bright light in front of our house, and that they seem to be really well made.

The front (facing inside the home) is the grey material, and it has a separate backing to complete the blackout on the reverse side. This helps against the sun and blocks heat from the windows. I received the grey color and the smaller of the 2 sizes (52"W x 84"L) for my dining room double window. It comes with 2 curtains. To hang, you can use a larger or smaller in thickness type rod. These curtains are great for any room. I was surprised this was so inexpensive given the size and amazing quality and durability. I haven't come across any better deals, and I would highly recommend.

These curtains do a great job of blocking out light, the room becomes almost completely dark. The grommets are securely installed, and the fabric feels high quality with a nice weight to it (but not too heavy). The material’s thickness ensures that very little light passes through, with only a small amount coming in around the grommets and the top of the curtain rod. For the price, they offer solid quality and value.

We needed room darkening curtains for the guest room, and these worked out perfectly. The fabric is excellent quality, and the grommets are fastened securely making installation of breeze. The fabric is medium weight so it’s substantial but not bulky, and has a dark lining that is effective at blocking the early morning sunlight. The window in the guest room was small and one panel from this set was more than enough, so I’m using the other panel for the window in my grandson’s nursery.
