    • The best manual on Alexa
After reading this guide I finally see what all the hype is about and how to get the most use out of Alexa. This step-by-step manual is jammed back with useful information. The author is very honest with his thoughts as well and gives great tips that anyone can use. I liked how the book broke everything down in easy to understand terms whether you’ve had Alexa for a while or just getting her out of the box. It’s like getting the inside scoop on Alexa and Amazon’s brains! I enjoyed learning more about what to expect out of this device and the terms that may be used. Kudos to the author for also adding images to show what he is talking about and how things should look. Some people are visual learners so this really helps. In addition, I think that if you’re new to using Alexa this is a great starting point for you. If you use Alexa already then this is still good to use because it will tell you some tricks you don’t get in the basic manual. ... show more

    • Not Helpful For Me
I have an Alexa and a couple Echo dots. I also have a handful of "smart devices" that I haven't been able to hook up properly to my Alexa App. I mostly read through this book looking for advice on how to set up those. The book mentioned an update newsletter option, but the book said it was updated for 2018/2019, so I feel like it should have been okay with mine (Dec 2018) The book indicated I should use my mobile app and go to "Music, Videos & Books" to hook up my FireTV. My iPhone app only has a "Music & Books" option, and I couldn't find a way to do it. Since the book does mention that there was a major update that would remove the Video portion, I at least knew why the instructions weren't working for me, but it was still frustrating. Similarly, my "Skills & Games" section on the main menu or through the "Things to Try" option reroutes to Music for some reason. In general, the book and information was well-written and arranged in a logical manner; however, because of the massive changes and updates overtime, it just didn't work for me. ... show more

This book is really good, it helped me to understand the specific functions of alexa. It makes me know the full capabilities of how to use Alexa. If you're one of those who have been searching for a complete guide on how to get the most of your Alexa then this is definitely for you. I've always had troubles using my digital assistant, I'm not that techy but since reading this it has been a lot easier and it isn't as technical as I always thought. The book is all encompassing, it covers Alexa's many abilities. Kudos to the author, my life just got easier! ... show more

I've had my device for a month and while I could figure out some things on my own, there was a lot I did not know this device could do. The book was very helpful in showing me what I can do with Alexa. I just finished syncing it with my TV and calendar. It was very easy to do. My device doesn't have video but after reading the book, I may purchase one with video capabilities. I have signed up for update notifications so that I can get the most out of my Alexa.
