I've owned this watch for almost a year now. Do I regret it? Absolutely not! This watch has literally changed my life. I'll just start out with the bad. IMO, don't buy this watch for sleep tracking. I think its sleep sensing capability is complete BS. My watch will regularly state that I'm sleeping when I am wide eyed awake at 3 a.m. in the morning. It's so unreliable, that it makes me doubt the entire smart watch industry for sleep tracking. It's a good thing I didn't buy this watch for sleep tracking because I would have been terribly unhappy. So why did I give the watch 5 stars? It's because everything else about the watch has been terrific. And considering it's affordable price, continued free application and watch updates/improvements throughout the year, downloadable apps, GPS tracking, heart rate recording, incredible battery life, etc., I consider it to be the best smartwatch on the market in this price range. The heart rate recording could be more reliable. I have been on the treadmill at times when I know for sure the heart rate sensor on the watch is not recording correctly. It's usually related to dirty (or sweaty) sensor on the back of the watch. But it can also be that I didn't have the watch tight enough or that it was in a strange position on my wrist. Cleaning underneath the watch, moving the watch location on my wrist, or tightening up the band all seem to help get the sensor back on track. It's an annoyance. But I imagine this is going to be the case with most every smartwatch brand and is unrelated to the actual watch itself. The GPS tracking is top notch! Love it. I also love the visualization on my hiking history on the included app. It will color code the trail based on the speed I was traveling when I hiked. It will also record and show my heart rate on a chart all throughout the hiking. The feature that's changed my life is the PAI capability. PAI (Physiological Activity Indicator) is an intuitive algorithm that evaluates multi-dimensional personal physiological data measured by the watch. It converts this data into a easy to understand PAI value or score. The score is based on the HUNT Fitness Study. According to the study, keeping your PAI above 100 will help reduce the death risk of cardiovascular disease, and increase your life expectancy. I have changed my workout to maximize my PAI score. And in doing so have lost 35 lbs of fat in the last year. I've learned a lot about my health, what was causing my lack of results before, and am thankful to the makers of this watch for opening my eyes to it all. Plus, I feel a whole lot better. In summary, for the health conscious, this is a great watch to consider. It's very tough (for outdoor sports and adventures) and long lasting (battery). If you are looking for a watch to help you track your sleep, ehh, better look elsewhere--not sure if sleep tracking is accurate for any watch. ... show more

First of all, I love the ranger green color, it is definitely a favorite color of mine. This watch has performed so so well. I enjoy being able to track my steps and sleep. I am surprised how accurate it was with my sleep time and when I had to get up during the night for when my son or puppy woke up. This watch is surprisingly durable. I have smacked it on the corners of countertops, door frames, etc. and there is no scratch on it!!! I am thoroughly impressed with it. I did take it into the shower which had no issues, but the problem is moisture gets stuck in the crevices of the band so it's hard to thoroughly dry. I would just take it off before you get in. Now the battery life, it is amazing!!!! I love having a watch that I don't need to worry about the battery life. I typically get 20 days (5% a day) so when the low battery notification comes on at 10% I have 2 days to charge it. The watch also charges up to full in like 2 hours. This watch is perfect for me. It looks awesome. Works great absolutely no issues. Battery life is phenomenal. Great features on the watch. I would highly highly recommend purchasing this watch if you are looking for something like this. ... show more

I have abstained from any smartwatches purchases... until now. I don't want or need constant notifications or impedances into my life in yet another device. I also don't want jewelry when I am more interested in sport/outdoor use. But, I have been wanting to get GPS for various sports that I track through Strava. I haven't wanted to get another Apple device for a variety of reasons. My main desires ended up being the top features for the T-Rex 2: - Reasonable Cost (when I'll likely scrape it up from sports/biking, etc.) - A "dumb" Smartwatch: Simple and "unintrusive" if I want it to be (no cellular or speaker) - Battery Life: able to be worn for days/weeks at a time without constant charging - Full GPS and Strava integration - Adjustable/customizable features - Custom watch faces - Intuitive interface and app - VO2, Pulse, calories, steps... everything you want is available I did a lot of research and compared everything from Apple, Garmin, and other major players at price-points up to $1K. I found Amazfit and found that the T Rex 2 was the best of all of these brands for price, features, capabilities, GPS, etc. At $200, nothing comes close for what I desired. I used this for Wing SUP boarding the other day and the watch was waterproof/bombproof and the activity was easily ported to Strava. I was out of rang of my phone so I had to manually "push" the activity to Strava by opening the Zepp app on my iPhone and once my watch synced, it automatically updated two activities. I had to reclassify the activity type as it was uploaded as MTB, but that is not a problem, I rename activities anyways. WATCH FACES: PROS - Decent selection to choose from. *My friend with the Apple Watch Ultra was admiring the watch face I had. - Faces are only $1.99-$2.99 - Some faces are customizable CONS - AQI doesn't display well or at all. It is random and will only occasionally show up and it is usually wrong compared to actual local AQI. We should be able to manage what service is used... or at least get it to actually function. I live in an area that gets wildfire smoke regularly, so this is an important feature to have. - I also find that many of the faces only display in metric units and cannot be changed. So check the faces before purchase. - Was hoping to find a compass/watch face for outdoor hiking/biking (like the Apple Ultra). Nothing yet. The critique is that the brand and product name are silly. T-Rex? This is a watch, not a dinosaur toy for a child. Not a big deal, but certainly I have though about getting rid of the big white "T-Rex" logo on the watch and likely will soon. For $200, this watch is fantastic. Give it a shot if you don't really care about an $800 Apple Watch or having a speaker on your wrist. ... show more
