    • What’s my ring size?

I purchased this ring knowing it would be the push I needed that would inspire and encourage me to get back into working out again. I watched several video's and researched what size I should order(without having to purchase the size kit). I did the strip of paper measuring technique several times and got slightly different measurements each attempt, but it was fairly close. Then I did the string/dental floss measuring technique, which I found the measurement to be mark on each time. I determined I was just slightly over a size 12 based on the inches listed on the ring size guide. I am 6ft3inches tall and weight 200, I would consider myself tall/thin/slightly athletic in build. My glove size would be a mens large, but due to finger length I wear and xl. After watching several online videos and reading articles with men claimed to be wearing different sizes of the available sizes (8, 10, & 12). I went ahead feeling hopeful and ordered the ring, knowing I could return it if it didn’t fit. The ring is said to work best on your index finger, but can also be worn on the middle finger and lastly the ring finger. Immediately upon arrival I opened the beautiful Amazfit Helio ring box and was delighted with the look, feel, and quality of the ring. I then tried to put the ring on my index finger on my right (dominant) hand, but it barely went past the knuckle and I didn’t feel comfortable trying to force it any further. I then did accomplish to slide the ring onto my index finger on my left hand, but had to remove it due to lack of blood flow and finger starting to turning red. Then I tried my middle finger on my right hand, the fit was near perfect/very good. I then tried my ring finger on my right hand, the fit was slightly loose and was very comfortable(my preferred style). I then put the ring onto my middle finger on my left hand and felt that was the best fit of all fingers, but the ring touched and banged against my wedding ring. That would not work for me, so I placed the Helio ring back onto my middle finger on my right hand. If there was a size 13 I would presume that would be my perfect fit for my index finger on my right hand, and I plan to purchase one of those once this ring gets to the end of its life and more ring sizes are available. I hope this helps you get an idea of what you may need to order. My recommendation is to use the string/floss technique since it easier to get a consistent accurate measurement that way. Update: Having to move the ring to my ring finger on right hand each night due to slight nightly swelling I think due to getting to hot. Definitely could have used a size 13. The usb-a to usb-c cord that came with the ring charger, charges much slower than when I use my own usb-c to usb-c cord. ... show more

    • Amazing Ring, Great Features for half the cost!

This is an amazing smart ring though it does have a few minor downfalls. The sensors are extremely accurate and it collects a ton of data. At first I thought the "emotion detector" was going to be a nonsensical filler, but after being in a few stressful situations I received a notification asking if I was stressed during a certain time period. Each time it provided accurate feedback and then logged that information for later review. My personal favorite feature is the sleep sensor. As someone with sleep challenges at times it is really great to see how well I'm sleeping and what I can do to fix it. The heart rate, step counter and oxygen level monitors are phenomenal as well. Though one of the few downfalls of this ring is that if you want to track a workout you have to enable it through the Zepp app compared to similar smart rings that sense it automatically. It's not a deal breaker by any means but it can be a little annoying if you forget. The only other "complaint" I have is that the battery doesn't last as long as advertised if you have all the functions enabled. With everything enabled the battery lasts about 2 1/2 days, not bad but could be better. Not all the functions are necessary so if you don't enable the stress/emotion sensors and set the heartrate monitor to scan every 30 minutes instead of every 10 minutes I'm sure the battery will last longer. Now the main thing that convinced me to buy this ring instead of any other brands I was looking into was the fact that THERE IS NO SUBSCRIPTION!!! Normally Amazfit charges a subscription fee in the Zepp app for their other devices in order to access Zepp Aura Premium and Zepp Coach Premium. This ring gives you access to both services FOR FREE FOR LIFE!!! Zepp aura is a relaxation meditation service and Zepp Coach is an AI powered "personal trainer" of sort. I personally wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't included with the ring, but they're great add-ons. Overall for $170 this is an AMAZING smart ring if you don't want to fork over $400 plus a subscription every month for the competitors. As long as you're okay with a fairly average battery life and having to enable work out tracking yourself I think this is a pretty good option. ... show more

    • Works OK but has some shortcomings

It's mediocre. It does heart rate and sleep monitoring, but doesn't seem super accurate and the battery life is abysmal (2 days max until it's <20% which means it won't last through the next night). It's also blindingly bright at night, and the green heart rate monitor light stays on the entire night continuously which is obnoxious and distracting if you share a bed. I like the appearance, it's "low key" and looks better than other smart rings on the market. 2nd edit: It's junk, I recommend you look elsewhere. Refuses to be consistent in tracking, last 3 nights recorded no sleep data. After the second week on iOS it has refused to track for 7 consecutive nights. THE ZEPP APP IS AS WELL AS THEIR HEADPHONES (2/3 DIED SINCE 8/12/25) AREALSO HALF-ASSED!! 1st edit: Became inconsistent within two months of using only to track seep. Last week only recorded 1 of 7 nights of sleep. That was on android, switched to apple and it seems to be back to normal. 3 of 3 nights tracked. OG: Comfortable, good data. So far, absolutely no complaints. Seems high quality, product is pretty neat. Charges fast. I can't tell you how accurate it is, but it seems pretty solid so far. I've had the ring for a few days now and I'm already impressed. The build quality is great. I've ran with this ring to compare it against my Garmin Epix 2. The data was almost identical. I did a HIIT workout and that's where the ring began to struggle but it's also not made for that. Its meant to be a companion to a watch and it gives me all the passive data I want. I prefer mechanical watches so to have a ring like this is great. I recommend it if one of the 3 sizes fit you. ... show more
