The watch is very nice, I really like its style. I bought him a metal strap. To make it look much more elegant and it is. I bought it to use it instead of my Xiaomi smartband with more elegant clothes. And the truth is I quite like it. The only problem I have with the watch is that like me it used the music app a lot. when I want to change the music on my cell phone or increase the volume. The application takes a while to load and when I enter, it tries to use a track that the watch itself has internally because you can save music to the watch and listen to it through its small speaker. But it's not what I normally use, I use my cell phone and it's annoying to have to change that all the time. In addition, it is quite slow to enter that music option and make music changes, it is quite slow and it is not pleasant to use for that purpose. My Xiaomi Mi Band 4 does it much better. But for the rest I think it is worth it. Plus the battery lasts a long time. not like apple watches. or samsung watch. ... show more

    • Don't waste your money or your time--UPDATE

Had a Garmin Vivoactive for 18 months, then a software upgrade from Garmin corrupted the cpu in the watch. Replacement fom Garmin took 8 weeks. Poor customer service, especially since they knew they had an issue. Decided to try this Amazfit watch. The price was good, more features than Garmin & touted better battery life. Had to charge Garmin every 3 days. So far I get 7 days before need to recharge. So far really happy. Works well, app is more informative than Garmin, teaching me how I can adjust some activities to better suit me. I highly recommend this samrt watch. UPDATE!! Buyers beware!! THe watch began to have problems within 3 months of receipt. I went to charge the watch as usual, however the screen would not turn on so I pressed the button on side & nothing happened. Went to Amazfit site, called Customewr service, left message. No call back. Sent email, got robot return email. 2 days later I call again, put on hold for 20 minutes than a rep comes on. I describe issue, I hear typing, then he tells me have to uninstall Zepp app, then hold down watch button between 30 & 60 seconds. When Screen appears, then reload Zepp app, Reset watch to original settings. Of course I lost all historical data. Device worked fine for 2 more charges, then the same thing happens. I now know the drill, do exactly the same, reset the device & all data lost again. I send another email asking if there were any known 'bugs' on software. Response I got back was to 'send a screen shot'. OF A BLANK SCREEN? What good would that do? I replied to email with similar response, then can another robot email with jibberish to reset watch. Finally, I called Amazon Support & got Mike. WOW, was he helpful. He pulled up info on the device, read the exact same instructions as I got from Amazfit. When I told hime I already did that, he apologized (it was real) then said he wanted to some research & call me back on Monday. Boy was he prompt, first thing Monday fro Uraguay there was Mike. His research found that MANY other buyers of the device had the same issue, going back at least 6 months. I asked how many & he said he couldn't tell me but said I was not alone & the seller of the device knew. Thanked him & proceeded to contact, via email Amazfit, requesting an exchange since device was still within 1 year warranty. I took 3 days for a response to come along with a USPS label atteched to use to return device to their California office.. So the next day I went to the PO, bought a cushioned envelope & sent it off. Now 5 days have passed, they acknowledged that they knew package was sent, YET 5 days later no replacement. I only live about 15 miles from their California facility so distance across the ocean is not a factor. BUYERS BEWARE. When the device warks it is really decent & does what it is suppossed to do. If it's a softe=ware bug they need to fix that. If it's a hardware issue they need to replace or repair all the GTS2 minis'. Not an easy decison to make. Software is cheaper tp fix.     • Pretty good smart watch for basic fitness tracking. Subpar Google Fit integration.
05/22/22 - I have had this watch for a little over a week (using with a Pixel 6 Pro). My summary take is: lots of good with a few rough spots. Pros: * Price: For the cost and what it does, this thing is a great value. * Battery life: As I am writing this, it has been seven days since I took it off the charger and I am sitting at 37% batter. Pretty outstanding. * Comfort: This thing is comfortable. Numerous times I have caught myself looking down at my wrist the make sure I am still wearing it. I literally can't tell that I am still wearing it at times. It is so lightweight. Also, I don't feel compelled to remove it when I get sweaty, as I have for other smart watches I own. Even when it gets sweaty, it is easy to wipe clean. * Sleep tracking: I am certainly not a sleep tracking nut, so I can not speak to the nitty gritty of things like REM tracking and such. But I will say that this has accurately tracked my general sleep duration every night this past week. And it is automatic! I previously used an app on my phone to track my sleep duration, but I would have to manually start it and stop it each night/morning. But with this watch, I just go to sleep and it automatically tracks it. * Music control: This is an important feature to me because I like to be able to play/pause my phone's music without needing to pull my phone out of my pocket. The music controls are not quite as convenient as what you'll find on Wear OS, but it certainly gets the job done. Cons: * Google Fit integration: This is hit and miss. It does seem to accurately track my daily steps to Google Fit. Exercise activity is a different story. The only two exercise types I have explicitly done on the Amazfit are indoor biking and outdoor biking. In both cases, the Zepp app syncs those to Google Fit as "Others", not as their actual exercise types. Not a huge deal, but I wish those were synced to Google Fit as what they actually are. * Voice assistants: The watch comes with Alexa support built in. I have not tested this yet because I am not an Alexa user at all. My house and other devices are 100% Google Assistant driven. Coming from a primarily Wear OS smartwatch life, it would be nice if I could set Google Assistant up on the Amazfit as opposed to Alexa, but I am pretty sure that Alexa is the only option here. ... show more
