  • Great Value for a Great Watch
Color: Charcoal
Originally wanted an Apple Watch. Decided to buy this to see if I even wanted anything at all. I was pleasantly surprised! Well made. Comfortable. Long-lasting battery. Can receive texts and calls coming through (just can’t talk or text through the watch, but that’s ok for me). The Zepp app works well too. I think the only improvement I’d like to see for that is the food log. I’m used to the Calorie Count app where you scan the barcode. The food log has an AI powered assistant. The Zepp app logs food through photo, text or voice. It occasionally gets it wrong, but there’s the ability to edit an incorrect item. Overall, I really like it! And now I don’t think I need or want an Apple Watch. ... show more

  • Perfect purchase for the price
Color: Charcoal
Works great. The one thing I will note is you can read but not respond to text via this device- now you know too. It keeps time, track of steps, has alarms and timers and they are both used frequently. Perfect purchase for the price!

  • everything is in the ball park, but is a bit off compared to higher quality devices
Color: Charcoal
the device itself is fine. The different colors are for different band colors, as they all seem to have the same white watch body with silver trim. if you're going to be like me and replace the band anyway, just buy whichever color is cheaper. Band wise, the stock one is a silicone which irritated my skin. Tt's the same connection size as the bip 5 though, so the bip 5 stainless steel band I bought fit it just fine. there are a tone of watch faces you can use. I found one that has pedometer, heartrate, O2, and projected excess calories burned. you have to play with the software a little to get it to read )2 unprompted, but it's a setting, and can be done. software wise, there is a need for updates. I had been using a fitbit before, and the move to the bip5 unity meant that I can only see the last week of sleep info, the most recent sleep has full info, otherwise you're looking at the averages for the week, which isn't great if I want to compare multiple days myself I.E. how I slept this Friday vs last Friday. that's probably my biggest issue with the app, that you can't go back and look at the details and graphs for previous days for sleep, Heartrate, O2 any of it really. Battery life is great. 4-5 days with auto O2 tracking turned on, 10-11 days with it turned off. this is in line with my fitbit when it worked. Overall, not a bad fitness tracker. App needs some updating and better data reviewing features, but otherwise, I'm fairly happy with it so far. ... show more

  • nice watch, budget friendly
Color: Pink
I had originally ordered an off-brand smart watch, which I packed up and returned within 30 minutes of opening the package. Let's just say you get what you pay for. I did some research and started thinking more about the features that were the most important to me. Price, of course, needed to be budget-friendly. I snagged this watch on Amazon for $60. I didn't need to be able to make calls or return texts, but thought it would be nice to know when someone called or texted if I didn't have my phone in front of me. I wanted to count steps, count calories, track my sleep and check my vitals. And... its been a long time since I've actually worn a watch for telling time, and since I am a teacher, it would be nice to not have to rely on my phone or an imprecise analog wall clock. I wanted something big enough for my old eyes to see, but not something huge and uncomfortable. After doing some research and comparing models and features, I decided on the Amazfit Bip 5 Unity. It had everything I was looking for, was a name brand, and received high ratings. Upon receiving the watch, I was immediately impressed. It was nicely packaged, and came with thorough instructions (not just 6 bullet points, but THOROUGH instructions written in clear English). Instructions can also be found online and are downloadable to your phone. However, I haven't had to refer to the manual too many times because the watch and Zepp app are so easy to navigate. The step count seems accurate. I can set the watch to measure calories and vitals when using my eliptical machine (or most other activities for that matter). The Zepp app allows for tracking calorie intake. You can type in the food or scan a label- which is super handy! I have not used this part of the app because I use a different app for that (mynetdiary). At this time the mynetdiary app does not sync with the Bip 5 Unity, so in the future I may consider switching my dietary tracking to the Zepp app so that I have all of the information in one place. The watch does sync with some of the other fitness apps out there (see the Amazon description). The watch can measure heart rate, O2 saturation, sleep, stress level, steps, calories, and gives a PAI score (look online for an explanation of this). You can customize how often you want your vitals to be monitored (The more frequently you monitor, the more battery it uses). The display is easy to read, even for these old eyes. I can use quick reply texts, which can be edited to meet my needs. I can send emojis also. I can get calendar reminders and notifications for any other app that I want to have connected to my watch. I can receive emails to my watch- depending on the graphics of the email, I may not necessarily see everything, but I see enough to know if I need to respond right away. The watch does not support wifi- it connects to the phone via wifi, and can be used to track vitals when not connected to the phone. I cannot make calls on the watch; there is no microphone or speaker. It only vibrates. I like that I can use the watch to locate my phone when it's connected via bluetooth because I misplace my phone at least 5 times a day. The wrist band is comfortable. The extra length tucks down under the band, out of the way. It's comfortable to wear at night. This is a big win for me because I usually take off all of my accessories as soon as I get home from work so that I can feel comfortable. If the band doesn't work for you, you can find compatible bands online. I've only had the watch for 3 days, so I don't know about the battery life yet. I have been using it a lot so far because it is new and I am still learning all the features. On day 3, I am at 42% with moderate use. I have the screen dimmed down to about 50% for everyday use. It seemed a little dim while driving, but I think it will be easier to see outdoors if I turn up the screen brightness a bit. I will test this out on an upcoming trip. Of course, this will impact battery life also. The watch faces are easy to change. There are several free faces and others you can pay for. Some faces show more information than others. You can choose a face to fit your style and needs. You can use a picture of your own for a watch face and you can choose what information you want to be displayed (e.g. time, temperature, heart rate). My daughter has fun changing the watch faces using the app. I bought a package of soft clear TPU cases to protect the face of the watch from scratches (available on Amazon). The screen does not have an "always on" setting. I thought this might bother me, but all I have to do is turn my wrist to look at the face and the screen turns on for a few seconds. I have a small arm, and the watch face is big (but most smart watches are!), but I don't mind this, because I can see the screen better. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend this watch for someone who is looking for a basic smart watch without a ton of bells and whistles. Update to post: the silicone band was becoming uncomfortable because it would stick to my arm, especially when it was hot outside or when I was sweaty. I bought a set of 22mm stretchy nylon bands and replaced the silicone band. Problem solved. Also, it is possible to lock the screen so it is "always on." ... show more

  • Believe me
This is my 2nd amazfit watch, I had an amazfit mini GTR and was very happy with it. I had scratched it up a good bit and this one was so reasonable that I splurged and got a new one that costs even less than the GTR mini and I could not see much of any decrease in features. While they both have great battery life, this one is at least double the life. It will easily go 9-11 days even with all the bluetooth and location on and receiving texts. I had been a Fitbit user for as long as there has been Fitbit but these are so much better. The app is much more user friendly and syncs rapidly unlike Fitbit. I toyed with spending more and getting a google pixel watch since it was sharp looking and I have a Pixel phone but the battery life of it is barely a day as my husband owns one. I am an amazfit person now! ... show more
