Whether on the ends or sides of oak hardwood flooring this carbide cutter cut grooves "like hot knife through butter." I simply clamped the flooring board and used cutter in my portable Porter-Cable router (no router table). There was no "chatter" or tear-out. Can't imagine "properly" installing hardwood flooring without this cutter - no "butt" joints as cutter allows installation of splines. ... show more

Love this little tool! Cuts down on waste percentage. No need to waste material when you can re-groove the end. Comes in handy on narrow pieces to give more stability with T&G system.

    • Good but what's with the wax coating on it?
The bit functions and seems pretty good but the whole thing was dipped in wax which tool awhile to peel off...maybe to protect it but seems odd.
