I put one in the kitchen to hold my coffee, syrups and filters. It's a great way to add some storage for things I use regularly. I put it above my head so I'm not sure how the shelf surface is holding up I put the other in my bathroom to hold my toothbrush and waterpik - its got a lot of scuff marks, the material is not meant to be cleaned regularly, I love it in my kitchen, but I would use it in a place that needs to be cleaned weekly. ... show more

These shelves were so much easier to install than floating shelves where you have to guess where to slide the shelf onto the screws. Attaching the legs to the shelf itself was easy and took all of 2 minutes. You can decide where to place the legs (I chose to place them closer to the end, half and inch from the edge so that I can fit more). I’m using these shelves for my plushies and crystals so we’ll see how they hold up. ... show more

    • Hard to install but you get what you pay for.
Let me start off by saying these shelves smelled HORRIBLE coming out of the box. It smelled like the rhino exhibit at the zoo. I don't know what these were treated with but it took some disinfecting wipes and airing out before these weren't fume hazards. These look nice enough. I do have some nit-picky comments. I wish all sides were the smooth texture. Some sides are rougher because there is no finishing on them. Hard to install only because you can't get into the brackets super well to finish tightening the screws. But they did provide plenty of hardware for all mounting types, which was nice. Wish the gold was a little more metallic. These are a bit of an olive-gold, somewhere between a matte and satin finish. Overall, decent shelf for the price but it could be better.
