  • Hubby Says Best Socks He’s Ever Worn, 64 years old (now that’s saying something lol)
Size: Medium-Large Color: Charcoal
Needed some nice warm socks for my husband for a trip to Montana for Christmas. Decided on these, looked nice and good reviews. Price very reasonable too (and we’ve spent some real money trying to find good socks). Paying for more expensive socks won’t get you better quality than these. He absolutely loves these socks! Worked out perfect keeping feet warm in the super cold weather, but he actually wears them for everyday work and walking socks as well. They’re a bit thicker but can still wear them comfortably in his work boots & walking shoes. His review is super soft, very comfortable, do not slide down, great fit, holds their shape, look great; my review is launders well too. Said he likes them better than any socks he’s ever had. To best of his recollection lol, in 64 years of living. Purchased the gray ones for trip and just ordered a 3-pack of the black. Totally recommend these socks! ... show more

  • Sock It To Me, Baby!
Size: Medium-Large Color: Charcoal
These grey, thick, padded, wool socks are PHENOMENAL! I love 'em and ordered a second and third set. They're super THICK, wonderfully woolen, and form-fitting thanks to some lycra or spandex. I do this with all of my socks––because I have lethal foot odor––but when you wash them inside out the first time, they're fluffy, cushioned, and toasty! I now leave a clean pair next to my bed and slip them on first thing in the nippy winter mornings. I went back and moused over all of the ad images on the left edge of the Amazon page, and they're all true! Haha! And I'm sure a similar quality sock at REI would probably cost the same for ONE pair, not 3. They breathe, they're form-fitting, and while I've yet to actually hike in them, I've worn them with my leather Hokas and they just feel about as nice as I can imagine. Not too thick, not too thin. I've never written a review of socks before, but was fun to find something I really liked. I suspect they'll be the only pair I'll wear this winter. ... show more

  • excellent socks
Size: Medium-Large Color: A7-black (3 Pairs)
well constructed, durable, good heat retention and consistency, comfortable for extremely long hours, a tad itchy at the end of day as wool always does, when wet on surface feet stay dry and warm. first wool sock my nerve damaged feet can tolerate an entire day highly recommend great quality product

  • Ok, as a low cost alternative but there are other better socks.
I'm used to wearing the "RedHead Ultimate Wool Heavyweight Socks" and these Alvada's are not as good but they are much less expensive. The Alvada's aren't as thick and my size 14EE feet barely fit in the XL size. I will likely go with a mix of the two brands of socks and use the Alvada's on warmer days or when just doing daily chores. For hiking or winter or hard work, I'm sticking with the Redhead socks as they provide tons of cushion, ample size, excellent sweat wicking and good insulation from both heat and cold. ... show more

  • Warm, dry and comfortable
Size: Medium-Large Color: Charcoal
I wanted socks that would keep my feet warm and dry, even in cold, wet weather. Marino wool is known for its ability to keep you warm in these conditions, but socks made from this material are usually only found at outdoor stores and can be very expensive. At less than $20.00 for a three pack, I had my doubts, but I gave them a try. They are thick and soft and fit my size 12 feet perfectly. Even in all-day rain and 40 degree temps, my feet remain warm and comfortable–but they never feel hot. Some buyers have commented that they did last long, and I've found that to be somewhat true–the last pack I bought lasted about 2 months before the heel began to wear through. HOWEVER–I wear them five days a week for 10-12 hours a day and am on my feet almost the entire time. If you wear them under normal circumstances, I'm sure they would last a lot longer. I don't think you can find a better sock at a better price–so I ordered them again. ... show more

  • Very Warm and Comfortable
Size: Medium-Large Color: Charcoal
These socks are fantastic! I would recommend these socks on comfort alone. The warmth of these socks exceeded my expectations as well. I wore them when shoveling my driveway for about 30min in -24F windchill weather. I decided I really wanted to test them out so I didn’t wear winter boots, I wore my Keen Cleveland work boots. My feet stayed warm the entire time! Absolutely fantastic product. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • So good, I had to buy three more pairs.
Size: Medium-Large Color: Charcoal
I have never bought wool socks, having been content with 100% cotton Calvin K's or 80/20 cotton poly mixes from any number of street festival sellers. But the recent cold spells have left my tootsies in need of greater protection, so I experiemented and bought a three pair set from a quick ad that popped up one day. WOW, THESE ARE GREAT. So warm, I sleep in them. So comfortable, so easy to care for, so tough, I immediately bought three more pairs. Yes, they are a little thick, but that's what you want in the winter. Being various shades of gray, they go with every pair of dark pants I own. And Yes, I would buy them again and again and again. ... show more

  • Great socks!
Size: Small-Medium Color: Charcoal
These socks succeeded my expectation! They were super soft and extremely warm and not too thick as wool socks can usually be. I absolutely love them and recommended to a bunch of friends who also bought them.
