This flashing works well for a side wall, coverings and side wall flashing of around windows and things. Is thin enough that a Milwaukee 12 V staple gun can easily tack this into place and it works well. I do not recommend this product for using as a Valley flashing But for side walls and in corners, it is excellent and easily moldable to what you want to form it into. I do recommend this product.

I bought this roll of aluminum with the intention of using it as a sort of flashing for the back of my ADU. I have a house and an ADU on a hill and the ADU is dug out into the ground with the street or alley rather, but it right up against my property line. A ton of water floods down from the alley into my property and sometimes I feel like both houses you’re gonna float away. More importantly, the ADU was getting wet floors. It has a cement slab found foundation so I do feel like part of it is just the water permeating through the cement. However, I wanted to make sure that there was no water coming through above the foundation from the rain. I have yet to install this, but I’m writing this review now because I found a second use for this. I am doing everything I can to reduce the use of plastics on my property. I’m about to create a small retaining wall in front of some redwood trees because as you know, my house is on a hill and that retaining wall will be holding a considerable amount of dirt. In the diagram that I found for a wooden retaining wall, it recommends a waterproof material to back the wooden retaining wall. I realized I don’t have to use plastic as a barrier for the wood. I could use this aluminum sheet. It’s the perfect height. I write this review to promote and recommend the use of aluminum over plastic wherever possible, including retaining walls.

I'm using it to close in the the red iron on my patio and it works pretty good for that. It's a little bit thin for that application and if you get careless and slip off the screw you can poke a hole in it but I have some caulking that matches perfectly so you can't really see if you goof up. I've purchased about 4 rolls so far and may need one more to finish.

I am using this due to it's dimensions and not for roofing applications. I am building a solar heat panel and do not have the time to collect pop cans that require excessive time and labor to modify and couple hundreds of pop cans. This is more economical too.
