    • As good as the pictures!
I like to give crafty gifts to the children in my life, so when I saw this I wanted to check it out. It says 3+ also, so I wanted to see what I thought about that. It appears to be a really great craft kit! I would say a child would be better at this at an age of 5 or more, though. And older artistic kids would like it also. Six of the 11 shells are larger than I thought they would be. There is plenty of paint and glue, so I think some rocks could get painted as well. The only thing that I am iffy about is the clay. It is very light weight - an airy clay? I'm not an expert on clay but it seems weird to me. To be honest, I don't think the clay is necessary. I get that you can add appendages to the shells with it, but even dry I feel like the clay is too fragile. Leave out the clay and add another shell or two! That is just my opinion though, and I think the kit is worth 5 stars without the clay, so I won't ding it for that. The price is very reasonable as well for all you get. ... show more

    • Fun project for a rainy day!
My kids (8 and 9) loved this. Pros: paint is thick enough to cover the shell. Eyeballs are stickers. Some of the paint is glow in the dark. Lots of big shells included (just a few tiny ones). Cons: not really sure of the purpose of the air-dry clay. It doesn't stick to the shell so we had to hot glue it on. Not sure how long the eyeballs will actually stick without being glued either, although so far so good. Either way, it's a fun way to spend a rainy day :) ... show more

If you are looking for an inexpensive craft project for your kids that will keep them engaged, this is a good choice. My grandkids really enjoyed creating their own unique designs on their shells and were proud of their finished products. The large shells in this set are a great size for creating characters to use the googly eyes on. The other accessories, the clay, paint and glitter glue are in small amounts but adequate for the included shells. The glow paint is a nice bonus and a lot of fun especially if you have a black light. I recommend this fun kit. ... show more

The Kids Sea Shell Painting Kit is a fantastic craft option for children, particularly ages 5 and up. While labeled for 3+, older artistic kids will also enjoy it. The kit includes 11 shells, with six larger than expected, offering ample painting opportunities. There's plenty of paint and glue, allowing for additional projects like painting rocks, we like to add them to our garden. This is such a cute summer activity for kids to do! You get a good amount and lets kids get creative in their decorating. It’s a great set because it also comes with glitter and Googly eyes so all the bases are covered!

This is a very fun craft. My children like seashells so they really light something where they could paint the seashells. It came with a lot of different paints and also a lot of different colors so that they could really make the design that they like. The quality was good and they turned out really cute.
