This is my 5th pair of altra. I love them. I walk 19 miles a week in them never had a problem but these I walked less then a half a mile and got a bloody heal

Runs small!! I should have listened to the reviews. I’ve been a size 9 since I was 14 and 9 was too small. I have another pair of AHLTAs and they are 9 and perfect size.

I bought the Mont Blanc’s because Altra changed the Timps. I absolutely loved the Timp 4s. The Timp 5s are hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. I purchased these hoping they would be a good replacement, they are not. Pros: -the shoe is cushioned well -looks good Con: - the heel slips, no matter how you lace them -the outer layer of the shoe is very thin. Not good for actual trails -no attachments for gaiters -there are hard spots near the heel that rub Will continue my search for a comfortable/durable trail shoe to run ultras. ... show more
