There are replicas that do no justice to the official brand name one, and then every so often, there's the one that comes really close with that little extra touch. Well, this would be the latter one. Even though it states on the Amazon page that it is an 'inspired" fragrance, it never really tells you which one it's based from. Now, most "inspired" fragrances don't come close to the smell or longevity of the original fragrance and will smell a little musky and vanish within a few minutes. This one does neither of those. When I unboxed it and sprayed that first spray to smell the scent, I instantly recognized it, Sauvage by Dior. I sprayed just once on my wrists, rubbed them together and placed it back in the box. Wow!!! Loved the smell as it was about a 96% one to one copy. A few hours went by, and I was working on my son's car, fixing a ceiling fan, among other chores, when my wife gets home and asks, "what's the occasion?" I was like, "huh?" She followed with, "you only use your Sauvage for special occasions." That's when it hits me, the wrist spray of this fragrance. Totally blew my mind that even after working on my son's car and our ceiling fan, the smell was still highly present. Overall, great smell and I can confirm will last a while on you, won't dissipate like others do. It's a bigger plus knowing that it's as close to the original at way less than the $180ish price point. I did try the clothes spray to see if it lasted compared to bare skin absorption, and from 8am to 6pm, still nice, fresh and strongly present. ... show more

This perfume is one of those scents that starts out very strong. It opens with a bright burst of bergamot and pepper—fresh, spicy, and very noticeable right out of the gate. As it develops, you start to get a blend of lavender, patchouli, and a mix of spices that gives it more depth and anchors the notes. I do wish the lavender was a bit more elevated and present. I think it would soften things a bit. There is a touch of sweetness from vanilla, but it’s subtle—more of a background accent than a major player. The dry down is warm and ambery, with ambroxan and cedar giving it a long-lasting finish. It definitely leans bold and masculine. The atomizer isn't the best, unfortunately. It doesn’t spray evenly allowing for large drops of perfume to accumulate, so that's something to keep in mind. This is not the most subtle scent, but it will still garner compliments. ... show more
