This stool was purchased with my 3 yr old in mind. I couldn't stomach buying a big bulky wooden stool for him to stand on and most of those styles don't fold up, which would not work in my small home. This stool fit the bill with the bar going across, he knows to hold on and the platform is quite wide that I don't feel he's in much danger of slipping off since I will be supervising when he's on it. My only complaint is that the platforms texture is very rough (like a ribbed grate texture) and he complains about it hurting his feet. My husband agreed it is quite uncomfortable to stand on bare foot. Perhaps this will be remedied with placing a towel or cardboard on the platform and we will continue to use it.

This works great and is very sturdy. However, because it was bigger than I thought it was a bit harder to store than expected. Still it has been super helpful when reaching high cabinets in my kitchen.

Bought for my wife to reach the top cupboards. It works for her, but I would not trust myself on it. to lightweight. I'd say it is fine for anyone under 225 pounds. Anything more and I'd get real nervous.

Completely satisfied with this step stool! It's lightweight, yet very sturdy. The description says it's rated to support 600 lbs., but the cardboard around the stool says 800 lbs!

My husband found this to replace a two step ladder of similar design but with a much shorter "back" and much heavier weight. On the top step I always felt slightly out balance but NOT with this ladder - the back height is ideal. The third step is rock solid yet it is much lighter weight. Best of all, the finger/hand grip for folding is so easy to use. Great quality. Takes misery out of reaching top kitchen cabinets.
