I have two of these, one is roughly 4 or so years old another is close to 3, they’ve been used a lot, from outside camping to beach going, even when introduced to salt induced atmosphere they have not broken down or rusted! I’m a big man at over 6’2 and 400lb and they have withstood me and you feel secure knowing your chair isn’t going to let go and break on you. I would wear out the seams or the bolts in your standard “big man’s” chair within a month or so of use but with this, they show no signs of wear or tear. You can “plop” down into them and feel safe you’re not going to hit the floor! 5 stars, 10/10! Only chair I will ever buy for the rest of my life! ... show more

Basically what the title says. As a guy who comfortably fits into the Big AND tall category, I've gone through a few camp chairs over the years. In addition to my stature, throw one or two of my kids on my lap and cheaper camp chairs cave pretty quickly. From the moment I unpacked my new King Kong chair, I could tell this one was built well. The tubing is thicker and heavier duty, the structure contains more metal and less plastic, and all of the webbing is heavy and reinforced. Th size makes it a little more difficult to unpack and open up, but it's not bad…the price of quality. Clearly it has to be a bit heavier, and larger to transport, but worth it. They have thoughtfully engineered the carrying bag with two backpack style shoulder straps so you can sling it and carry it easier for longer distances. The chair is comfortable, solid, and you don't have the feeling that something is going to give and drop you on the ground any second. Liked this one so much we bought a second, just because it will stand up to the abuse of a big family more. We have other lighter weight chairs for the kids and family, but this one is Dad's chair! ... show more

We have several of these chairs and they are exactly what they say - heavy duty. And the star rating is a reflection of how we are pleased with the quality/price point. Far and above a 30-dollar one and probably as good of a durability/feature set as 90-dollar or more types I've seen. Problem with this one is they sent a chair that is almost the opposite design and color - not even close. This was a birthday present and our son likes this color scheme. He saw the picture before receiving the gift and was so into it - until we opened the box. No, we didn't slash our wrists, but the word 'agitated' comes to mind. Checked the product page, and sure enough; it said they were out and didn't know when they'd be back in stock. Not so when I ordered. We got the correct box, which means someone had to remove the correct item and put another in. Which tells me they knew full well they were out or were about to be out when I placed the order. They just figured they'd do a coin toss and hope we (I'm sure I'm not the only one) would accept another product. So, instead of losing the sale by stating it's out right away, hope a few customers bite and accept something else that doesn't move as well to get rid of stale product. Weak. ... show more

I bought this chair because I noticed other chairs getting wobbly after I sit in it one time even with me being under the weight capacity. I am plus size and this chair is sturdy and holds my weight. I use this chair at least 4 times a week and sitting in it for at least 2 hours for my child sports practice and games. I would recommend this chair for any plus size person needing a reliable chair. This the time you should listen to the positive reviews. This chair is by far the best chair for heavy people to use out doors. Indoors also it's so comfy, it's so sturdy, and you have wiggle room for your bottom. Well caution heavy ppl usually use there feet for support when your in an unfamiliar chair you know to be prepared if the chair decides to give out under you. Well fear no more This chair will have you sitting with your legs crossed and won't feel like your going thru the bottom as the fabric is just as sturdy as the steel legs on this thing . I pulled this out for my uncle whose every bit of 6'6 450lbs to sit on the grass in my back yard. He was worried til he sat down. Next day he ordered his self 1. A family member has cancer, so we have long days at the hospital for chemotherapy. While the patient infusion chairs are comfortable, the ones for visitors are hard fold out chairs that caused my lower back pain to act up and made sitting down almost impossible for me. We researched best camping chairs and found this one highly reviewed…and we love it too! This chair is so comfortable and has relieved the lower back pain I was experiencing. The cup holders are not big enough for a Nalgene water bottles, but standard water and coffee mugs fit well. I appreciate how wide the seat is, plenty of room for my hips.
