Description

The Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon V2 Gloves are engineered for urban riders seeking a balance of protection, comfort, and style. Constructed with a durable multi-panel design that integrates full-grain leather and 3D mesh, these gloves offer exceptional abrasion resistance and breathability. The innovative microfiber and PU grip inserts on the palm and thumb provide superior control, while the exclusive ergonomic stretch insert between the palm and thumb enhances hand movement sensitivity. Safety is paramount with the inclusion of ergonomically shaped carbon knuckle guards, reinforced with thick EVA foam on the interior side for improved fit, comfort, and shock absorption. Additional impact-absorbing EVA foam panels on the thumb offer extra protection. Designed for convenience, the gloves feature a neoprene wrist cuff with Velcro and TPR closure for a secure and personalized fit. The pre-curved finger construction reduces riding fatigue, and the 3D mesh finger and thumb surfaces ensure optimal cooling performance. I've been wearing these for about 6 months for ebiking. Bought them after I shredded my weaker gloves in a crash. These are reinforced in all the areas my previous gloves failed in, and they have been comfortable enough not to hinder my biking. Also, they are not too hot in warm weather. I will say that they are not quite as warm as what I was wearing in the winter, so next season I may double up somehow. After 6 months of weekly use, they are in as-good-as-new shape. I love these gloves for summer riding, great fit, feel and look in typical Alpinestars fashion. That being said they do not work at all for use on your phone when the gloves are on. Not sure if it’s phone specific (I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max) but I have a set of Alpinestars Gauntlet style gloves (SP-8) and the touch aspect works seamlessly by comparison which leads me to believe it’s an issue with the gloves. I tried 2 sets of these gloves and the issue persisted & given many other reviews stating the same thing this seems to be a problem with this specific model of their glove as far as the touch function goes. All in all this was however not a deal breaker for me but worth being aware of in the event that’s a huge factor for you in choosing the correct riding glove. ... show more

These are great. Fit a bit snug at first but as they break in the leather will stretch a bit for a really comfortable fit. They are solidly made and the knuckle protection is great. The media could not be loaded. I purchased these expecting them to be brand new but when i opened them they had rust residue inside the metal clips that hold the gloves together. Also the “alpinestars” logo that is on the glove pinkies is worn off as if i received some ones old hand me down gloves. Oh best part is they dont even close! the velcro that secures the strap to the wrist is so worn down it might as well be a pull on glove. Very disappointed in the quality that was delivered. i immediately returned these gloves and will be sticking with my other pair. If youre looking for some gloves thall put some hair on ur chest for the ladies or happen to be a lady yourself then i recommend the sp-8 v3 gloves also by aplinestars. they may be a bit more expensive but they are worth it for protection and the are actually new out the box. 👍 not like whatever garbage bin these gloves came from ... show more

I've had these gloves for a year now and I've enjoyed them. They fit well but do tend to shift a little after riding for awhile so I tend to pull them tight a few times a ride. They're very well vented so my hands dont get sweaty very much even in mid summer. The only real disappointment is the velcro clasp at the wrist, its secured to the glove with two strips of rubber and after a season one strip has ripped on one glove and the other glove shows stress cracks where it will break but other than that I do like them ... show more
