  • I like these boots!
Size: 45
Start of third riding season with these boots, still look great. Average 6k+ miles a year commuting. Few thousand up shifts and no sign of wear on top of boot.

  • Can wear all day
Size: 42
These get warm in the heat but I wore them all day around Denver and Kalispell this summer, and while riding the Oregon and California coasts last week. I broke them in riding around the streets in Denver then ended up hiking Werner Peak in northwest Montana while huckleberry picking with my family. The hike was unexpected. I was planning to just ride around while my parents and the kids picked the berries, but I felt safer being with the group and keeping an eye out for bears and such. Surprisingly, these trekked up and down the mountain through loose dirt and brush without complaint. It was dry, hot, and the trail disappeared at times from lack of use but I didn't slip once. Once back on the bike, I was able to visit the peak via the main dirt road and these boots kicked away some large rocks and gripped a few turns without issue. Same for some other dirt roads, ruts, and some other rocky and gravel roads I was looking for. On city streets these feel great. Grocery shopping, bookstore visits, and any other errands are comfortable. My wife hasn't commented on them, or at least has no need to comment on my style choice (which I consider "good"), and my few friends that I have seen lately that understand motorcycles have complimented them. I much preferred these riding down the Oregon and California coasts.. I wore them all day and was back and forth on dirt and street roads (no single track or anything more complex). These will be my go to boots for street riding on the WR or my BMW R1100RT. I wear merino wool socks, and these paired well, thankfully. The boots look a little flat over the top - they don't keep a boot-like shape like a leather workboot - making them more of a casual boot (need a wide pant leg opening). If anything, I'd like a more hiking-boot-like bottom sole for hiking so am continuing to research. Euro size 42 = US 8.5 Great boot. The Velcro will wake a sleeping spouse or kid. Grip is surprisingly good in dry conditions. Boot is comfortable, can be worn all day after break-in, feels safe, and operates levers comfortably. ... show more

  • Great motorcycle boots

  • excellant Quality
Size: 44
A quick Negative first,.. The first couple of times I pulled the boot on it was a little tight on the upper bridge while pulling them on, but as they broke in that went away. What I do like is the obvious quality in the materials used to construct the boot and the craftsmanship that went into it. Waterproof but breathable for those warm days. Really good fit when I'm seated in the boot plenty of room in the toe box and I'm a regular size 10 US, with a nice solid snug heal pocket, low profile toe makes it easy on the shifting foot and with extra surface protection for wear and tear shifting. The side zipper and hook and loop flaps are bomb proof and the accordion design on the upper bridge and heal allows the boot to easily flex forward and back and it does have a sufficient traction soul not aggressive but it works well. ... show more

  • Nice boots!
Size: 12
I have not gotten to wear them a lot, but Im impressed with them so far. Very comfortable. Im extremely critical of boots because they usually irritate the skin on my legs if they are very tall. But with a little prep in socks and placement of the inside flap, these feel really good. Im getting older and heavier so I put in a better insole but aside from that I think im gonna love em on my trip to the mountains in the spring. ... show more

  • Alpine Stars Boots
Size: 12
I actually like the boots overall. The problem came in getting the right size shipped in. It took three orders to get the right size. The sizing chart and the numbers do not match. I had to order 1 size up from the actual size I needed.

  • In a word… hot
Size: 46 EUR
I bought these boots because I had an older Alpinestar gortex pair that I really liked, but the current gortex model is out of stock. I can already tell that these boots do not breath as well as the gortex boots. I think they will be fine for three seasons but probably not summer. Regarding sizing, my old boots we size 45 and I usually wear between a 11 1/2 and 12 shoe. The new boots in size 45 were too small, so I ordered a pair of 46 and they are a little loose. I’ll keep the size 46. I probably wouldn’t buy these boots again and I would find a gortex boot in another brand if needed. ... show more
