  • Effective and Comfortable
Style: Race
These things are amazing. They block out just enough noise to make rides comfortable, while still allowing me to hear the important stuff. Have ridden several hours with them and they don’t hurt at all. You forget you’ve got them in, which is probably the best compliment you can give a set of ear plugs. ... show more

  • Amazing
Style: Race
Finally a well paid product. Perfect for riding. Very comfortable. Muffles the exhaust sound but you aren't deaf to other stuff like cars and music playing on your bluetooth device. I am simply amazed at the comfort and functionality. Easy setup. Simply pull the top of your ear up and insert plug in your ear and that's it it stays in place. You can hear people too with no problem. Save your hearing with this. I highly recommend 👌 ... show more

  • almost perfect

I have noise induced hearing loss from work, so I have to protect what hearing I have. I have tried many different sets of ear plugs, even custom ones. These perform really great at blocking noise while still allowing conversation. This kit comes with two sets, race and touring. Per Alpine the race cancels 3 more dB. I tried both sets on short trips first and found them equally comfortable once placed in the ear. the race definitely blocks more dB. For my next test I rode a 1000+ mile trip in one day on my 2021 HD Triglide. Both my significant other and I wore the race plugs while on the road. At our destination i found they had performed exactly as promised; I had no tinnitus, no muffled hearing and am very happy with the purchase, as was she, who was hesitant to wear ear plugs all day. Thats the good! Now for the drawbacks; like most other hearing protectors of this type the piece used to remove from the ear is so tiny it is hard to grasp once they have been in the ear. Also these (both sets) use a tool to help insert them properly in the ear. They will go in without the tool but it is a minor inconvenience and I'm sure will eventually get lost. in the package are two sets of plugs , touring and race, a carrying case, cleaner for the plugs, the insert tool and instructions. Definitely a great set and kit and would get five stars if the removal tit was easier to grasp when removing the plugs. if you need or want to preserve your hearing these WILL do the trick and are reasonably priced. ... show more

  • Helps a lot with wind noise but still able to hear intercom
Style: Tour
I like these earplugs a lot. I’ve always used the foam type but two issues made me try something different; 1 the foam plugs can be time consuming to insert correctly, and 2 they block everything so I can’t hear my helmet speakers. The Alpine earplugs do a pretty good job of cutting wind noise, but still allow me to hear music in the background and make a phone call if necessary. They don’t hurt my ears, are easy to insert and remove, and the center stems don’t stick out and rub against my helmet lining. I use the “tour” type and they work well for me. I did notice I can hear the helmet speakers better in my Shoei helmet than my older Bell Star. The Bell has ton of vents and is not known as a quiet helmet, so no surprise there. I was impressed with the Alpine MotoSafe plugs enough that I ordered a second pair for backup and/or passenger use. I accidentally ordered the “race” type but I haven’t tried them yet to see how different they are. My daughter wore them for several hours on a ride with me and had no complaints. She could still hear her music and talk to me via bluetooth intercom. When I originally bought these, I also ordered a pair of Earos to try at the same time. They seemed to be good quality, and I tried them for a few minutes, but the Alpines just fit and worked better for me, so I returned the Earos. Someone else might have a different experience, everyone’s ears are different. I just rode about 4 hours today with the Alpine tour earplugs, no issues. Bike= 2001 Yamaha FZ1 with stock windscreen, Helmet= Shoei RF-SR Keep in mind these do not block as much sound as properly inserted foam earplugs. For <$20 though, they are worth a try. ... show more

  • Nicest earplugs I've used
Style: Race
I bought these after losing my previous set of earplugs, Surefire EP4s. Wearing the Race model under a Bell Star DLX (not the race star) on a CBR600. Turns out this helmet is made for more of a touring than sport riding position according to Bell so the wind noise is a bit louder. First off these are the most comfortable earplugs I have ever worn and the first set that have stayed in place for more than an hour or hour and a half. Cheap foam plugs seem to work their way out of my ears after 30 minutes, and the EP4s would last maybe an hour and a half before they were starting to work their way out. Also the EP4s would press on my ears just enough that they were getting a bit sore by that time anyways. I wore these for a 3-1/2 hour round trip this weekend and they stayed snug in my ears the entire time, and are comfortable enough that I could pretty much forget they were there at all. So, I absolutely love the comfort on these and if I ever lose them I'll buy another pair on that fact alone. Also great is they filter just the right amount of noise for riding. Foams and even Surefires with the caps open filter a lot of noise out, great for protection but more than needed in my opinion. My helmet is quite loud at highway speeds, and these still cut out almost all of the wind noise but when I pull up to a light or just stop to talk I can still hear people well enough to talk. I couldn't really do that with the EP4s or especially foams. I haven't tried every earplug available, but these are definitely my new favorite and I don't believe I need to try anything else now. The little insertion tool is a nice addition too, makes getting them in super quick and easy. ... show more

  • Works well.

I am pleased with these. They cut out the harsh frequencies, but still allow you to hear. I listen to music on my cardo through these and it works great. I find them easy to put in and take out. They are a bit of a pain to clean, but that could be said of all earplugs.
