The media could not be loaded. I purchased this at 50% off. For that price this is a great fountain. It was easy to install except for getting the pump in place. The cord is stiff and took some manipulation to get the pump located where it is supposed to be. The fountain is a plastic material and lightweight. If a person wanted, they could pour some sand or small rocks into the pedestal to add weight. I did not. I leveled the ground and used the 2 garden pins provided and 2 more that I already had. Because the base is on soil, it is a bit wobbly, but if I worked harder at getting the ground perfectly level, it would still need staked, but it would stay steady. The fountain uses 2 gallons of water. Temperatures are in the 90’s here. I have had to add a gallon of water each evening. I bought it with the intention of putting water near my bird feeders. I’ve seen a Robin drink from it, but haven’t been home to observe it all day. The instructions say that the sun, rain and snow can damage the fountain. Right after that, they advertise their acrylic protection sealant. It leaves one to question if this fountain is intended to be used outdoors, but I am guessing they are trying to sell more products. Would I recommend this fountain. Yes if you are looking for an affordable low traffic, placed in a level location fountain and the price is right for you. ... show more

I purchased the Alpine 3-tier fountain birdbath in May 2023. It looks great in the backyard! The doves, finches, and sparrows flock to it for a sip of water. The fountain worked flawlessly all summer. I stored it indoors during the cold weather, and put it back in the yard in early May 2024. It worked great until mid-June when the pump stopped working. I contacted customer service and filled out a warranty claim. Within 2 days they approved a replacement fountain! Thank you Grace for the wonderful customer service! ... show more

    • Dont even think about ordering this
A lot of items that are made in China are very good quality. This the exception. Very difficult. The holes in the pump cover, big dish, small dish were all way to small to fit over the housing shaft and had to be reamed out using a drill and reamer. . The shaft top nut was strupped and had to be cut off and a new one I bought installed. The threaded top cover had a issue also the threads in the cap were stripped. Had to use a thread chaser to use this cap. Three sheet metal screws and three washers were supplied with no instructions how to use them. I did figure that out. It attaches the pump to the base large dish. It would not start pumping as it blew a circuit breaker when plugged in. Tried to (as the instructions states) carefully grio the impeller and gently pull it out. Good luck on that. I gave up on that and spun the impeller in place and got it to pump. The cord is very stiff and difficult to instsall the pump in the base of the big dish. Very poor engineering, as when nothing fits what does someone do, In my case being a mechanic I coould make it work. Assembly time 1 hour, tools needed, Electric drill, reamer, phillips and straight blade screw drivers. Needle nose pliers, hand wrench and adjustable plier. Do not buy this unless you must reverse engineer it. I should of returned it, but knowing what I see, what I would get back would be the same. AMAZON, stop shipping this JUNK! ... show more

    • COULD NOT GET IT TO STAND CORRECTLY
I REALLY WANTED THIS LITTLE FOUNTAIN. When it arrived I was actually shocked at how pretty it was. It is a Hard type of plastic, but from across the yard it does look like metal or cement. So It is very nice looking. The only issue was the final installation of the top two parts. I absolutely COULD NOT GET IT TO LINE UP CORRECTLY ...So when it was all put together, it kinda looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I was actually Ok w/it, because again... I REALLY WANTED IT TO WORK. But when my Hubby saw it, he said, "OMG, THAT LOOKS AWFUL & CHEAP, GET RID OF IT!" Ugghhhh.. So when I looked at it, it did look pretty pitiful. I sadly returned it. Another thing to consider is that YOU MUST KEEP FILLING IT WITH WATER. Here in California, where I live, IT IS VERY HOT, THE SUN WAS DRINKING UP ALL THE WATER. So I think that even IF I had kept it, the fact that I would need to be adding water to it, 2 to 3 times a day would get old fast. IF IT'S NOT CONSTANTLY RUNNING WITH FULL WATER YOU WILL BLOW OUT THE LITTLE WATER PUMP. ... show more

The fountain was easy to put together and is very nice looking. The water sounds soft and soothing, and humming birds love to bathe in the bubbling top. Excellent value for the price.

    • For the price, a great deal. Perhaps too light.
I've purchased two of these over the years. My first one died after I kept running it without water in the bath and the water pump died. There really isn't any chance of just replacing the water pump for a new one in how this is made, so you just need to buy a completely new stand and all. When I purchased the 2nd one, there were some problems with some of the tiers (one was broken, and another an issue with the opening). I texted the number provided for problems, was able to send a picture of the problem, and they put a new product in the mail rather quickly... so customer service was very helpful. I would put this for less than 5 stars if it was more expensive. It's so light that it can be hard to keep the tiers level (the water tends to flow more out of one side than evenly). I usually get it close enough by putting things underneath of the stand in spots to lean it on a direction to at least make it look more level. The weight of the water even changes this, so it's not that the pedestal itself is not level. But for the cost, this really meets all of my expectations. Buying a concrete unit would be MUCH heavier, more of a pain to move around, and more than double the price. This unit is so much more convenient (you can even take it apart and store it over the winter if you want) that the stability issue is worth the hassle. ... show more
