Ever since being introduced to the ALPAKA brand a couple of y ears ago I've become a massive fan. I love ALPAKA bags. My first bag was a laptop bag and I was extremely impressed with the quality, design and functionality. I've tried too many laptop bags to count but the ALPAKA product was one of the only ones that gave me the impression that the designers had actually used a laptop for travel and remote work before. I've since picked up a number of additional ALPAKA bags and they all have the same level of thought put into their intended use case(s). This is the BRAVO TOTEPACK and is yet another excellent product. Personally, I prefer carrying my laptop in a bag with a briefcase/messenger bag type form factor. My wife, however, has repeatedly vacillated between my preferred computer bag and a backpack. I ordered this bag for her since it can actually serve double duty--you can carry it by hand or wear it as a backpack. I thought that she wouldn't have to choose but it turns out that she uses it as a backpack the majority of the time. There's plenty of bags with removable straps but the Bravo has cleverly concealed their straps. As with everything made by ALPAKA, the attention to detail with interior organization and overall quality is excellent. The laptop/tablet compartment is lined with fleece to keep your tech safe and prevent scratching. Zippers are YKK made Aquaguard to protect your contents from the elements and open quietly so you won't wake up the entire plane when you need to get your headphones mid flight. You've got a side water bottle pocket (the product description suggests that it can alternately be used for an umbrella though I've never tried it myself) and a very functional front pocket for smaller items (eg: your phone) and within that an even *smaller* mesh pocket. There's even an integrated key tether in the front compartment. Like any serious travel bag, there's also a luggage passthrough. I'll spare you the technical specs of the materials but the backpack is extremely burly with an exterior made from recycled fabric. To quote their 'fun fact' every bag they make recycles 4 plastic bottles and that's a good thing. It's even better when you're making zero concessions in terms of quality and function. My wife and I have taken our ALPAKA bags all over the world and and in every imaginable weather condition and climate. They handle even the most adverse elemental conditions like a champ. So the bag is excellent but so is the company. Based in Australia, ALPAKA uses recycled materials, plants a tree with every bag sold, and provides financial support for organizations like One Tree Planted and the Surfrider Foundation. Great bags by an equally impressive company. Very highly recommended!

This backpack is sleek, slim, yet holds more than you can imagine. I love all of the hidden pockets so that I can store certain things in certain pockets which helps me know exactly where to look for things. There is even a little pocket for a small water bottle. It is convertible so you can carry it as a backpack or the regular way if you choose. The luggage strap is secure and strong as well.
