Let me start by saying that I AM NOT good at putting things together. I’ve managed a few but I usually have someone else do it. I get frustrated way too easily if I can’t figure something out or if directions are ridiculous. I was hesitant to attempt this as I removed all the pieces from the box. I was going to have my husband help, but changed my mind as I looked at the directions- looked reasonably easy. Well. Let’s say I accomplished the task! All by myself! The directions were pretty clear for the most part (I’m getting better at this) I was impressed with how it was sturdy and not terribly heavy, this table is, once put together. I’m using it as a side table in my living room as I needed the storage for my husband’s “stuff” and it would be hidden and not all cluttered looking. It took me almost 2 hours to put together BUT I was having trouble with the drawer slides. I was reading the instructions backwards and installed them on the drawer wrong. Took me a little while, a few “annoyed” breaks, reading and rereading the instructions, switching the slides on the inside several times - trying to figure out what I did wrong - and then it clicked. Had I got that right the first time, it likely would have taken me maybe a little over an hour. They do include a small screwdriver but I did use my electric one. Just make sure and don’t overdo it. I did order another side table (should have bought two when they were on sale) I didn’t want to buy two and then not like it, so I kinda regret not getting the second one at the same time. I 100% would recommend these - it’s the perfect size for what I needed it for. Just measure, measure, measure- I did this, multiple times, but it’s still a little smaller than I thought it would be, but still fits perfect where I needed it.

I do love these side tables. They are sturdy, fairly easy to assemble with clear instructions, have good sized drawers that glide smoothly, sport a really sharp mid century design, and look just perfect - when backed up against a wall. And there is my only quibble with these. You do not want these tables positioned where the back is exposed. The back panel is a thin, flimsy sheet of particle board attached onto the body of the unit with the provided silver screws - which sit poking out about a quarter inch above the board. They are pretty glaring looking. If the manufacturers had only made the back from the same solid materials as the rest of the piece and counter sunk the screw holes - or colored the screws brown - these would be 100% great! Now that being said, I ordered a bag of 50 of brown screw caps from Amazon for less than $6, fitted them over the protruding screw heads, and now it looks much, much better. I recommend you do the same.

I spent an excessive amount of time on Amazon looking for side tables that were modern, Affordable and good quality. It turned out to be exactly that because the boxes were extremely heavy and it felt like good material. The gold gives a nice touch And I went with black to match my style despite seeing no review photos in black. It was worth it BUT Putting it together was Not ideal. I took classes at Harvard and my father went to Georgia Tech And we built this together so I wouldn’t say we are stupid. It took about four hours For two tables. I think the instructions could have been a little more clear And there’s a huge amount of pieces But it was worth it And I think it looks nice. I definitely think it looks more expensive than the price so I would say it was a win. Just get ready to be patient for the build Or pay someone on thumbtack to do it.

Beautiful design in pictures, impossible to put together. Husband is a welder, mechanic, rancher and he gave up. Said the instructions were impossible and assembly parts were bot fitting. Couldn't even put back in box so will lose all the money we paid for this item. Ended up throwing all parts in back of truck and trashing it, what a waste of money!! **Picture is where the side table was supposed to be but had to use a plastic one temporarily until we find a other.

I bought 2 of these and like them a lot, it would have only taken about 2 hours to assemble but my dog kept getting in the way and wanted attention, so made it about 4 hours lol. Good quality and the box was a little on the heavy side so bring help to bring it in if you are not strong or able to lift. I would recommend if you're looking for a mid century style. It came with a screwdriver to assemble but I used my own and all parts were included and had a few extra if you lose something or if the plastic pieces fail.
