That’s what I keep asking myself, I feel like it’s thicker than I anticipated. It’s not as dark or thick as regular lipstick but I was hoping for more of a sheer lip tint.

These lipsticks are so unlike anything I have ever owned before and I've repurchased these more times than I can remember! They are not lipsticks, they aren't matte. They have a shine, but not sticky like a gloss. "Butter Kiss" is a perfect name for them, they're soft and moisturizing like Chapstick. I own 4 different shades. Red medium is my favorite go to! It's a rich burgandy that I love using all year round. Berry light is my second favorite. It's a deep pink with blue undertones, perfect for spring and summer. Red light is...okay? I'll use it when I'm wearing something casual but I want a little pop of color. For a red-red it's pretty underwhelming, I would rather have a matte red for a bolder statement but it gets the job done. Lastly, there's pink light. The only shade out of the 4 that I regret buying. I have a warm olive complexion and on me it looks like a bubblegum preschool pink. I don't use it at all, but no harm no foul because I am in love with the other 3. The only cons about them is that they aren't long lasting. Once you eat/drink/kiss with these bad boys, they rub off. Which is not a bad thing in my book? I just white them off with a napkin before a meal & just reapply once I'm done. But that's okay because it only feels like reaching in your bag to moisturize with Chapstick. I love the product itself. It's the perfect middle ground between lip balm and lipstick. It's moisturizing like a balm and opaque like a stick. It's not long-lasting, but I didn't expect it to be. The colors are so pretty! I have dark skin, and got the red-medium and berry-light. Both fit my skin-tone pretty well. 5 star on the product itself. The only issue is, they claim to be creulty-free when they're not. Had I known this, I wouldn't have purchased. If they were cruelty-free, I would've purchased every shade. ... show more

I ordered Almay because it is hypoallergenic, but am disappointed with the lipstick itself. The lipstick is so soft it melts into the container. I doubt that I will order this again even though the hypoallergenic quality is what I was looking for.

I couldn't find this shade of Almay anywhere in our local stores. I was so glad to see it listed on Amazon. It isn't too bright- I think it is just right. It is a nice shade that doesn't make me feel "washed out", but it isn't glaring either., I've ordered two tubes and I'm about to order more before it isn't available. Just when I find a shade, it seems like they are discontinued. But I am so happy that I am still able to find it here. Longevity- about like any other "regular" lipstick. But, it does not have a dry look like most that are long lasting. Just carry a tube with you and refresh if needed. ... show more
