I got the brown in both silver and gold hardware options to replace short chain handles on Coach Crystal Swinger bags in Rainbow (gold hardware) and Burnished Amber (silver hardware) and the leather color on the brown choice is a PERFECT match. My wife acquired a new Dooney and Bourke shoulder bag, which the strap is fine for her petite 3ft 3" frame, but she wanted an crossbody option and to purchase a strap from Dooney and Bourke was really expensive and finding one anywhere else is difficult. She found this one and gave it a try. Although as you can see from the pics, it's not the exact color, it's pretty close. I agree with the other reviews that say it feels a bit plasticy, but the price was good and it has the matching gold hardware and it's great when she wants to wear as a crossbody or longer length shoulder bag. So I would recommend if you're not super picky about it looking high end, but it still looks nice enough to wear with the bag. For reference, the photos are comparing the new crossbody strap with the Dooney strap on the purse. The nice thing about the crossbody strap if you're a petite lady 5' 3" or shorter, it adjusts to a nice length at its shortest to my wife's thigh ... show more

I find the title of this misleading. Many titles put as much information as possible in the title to pull up on searches. This one is a purse strap replacement, but it is not leather. You have to go into the description to find that out. It should be listed just as Purse Strap Replacement because if you want to be accurate not all purse straps are leather.
