I love this. It's me. I'm the kid that I got this for. I always wanted to try pottery, but just in case I didn't care for it, I didn't want to spend a gazillion dollars on a super fancy wheel. This little pottery wheel was just the thing! It's so fun, and it's a great way to get a feel for this craft. I'm enjoying it a lot. It's easy to use. The turning table could be a bit larger, and the clay would be even better if it were reusable. Despite that, my kid absolutely loved it!

The media could not be loaded. I'm not a professional pottery person, but I have seen the 1990 movie Ghost several times :) This little wheel is a great way to start playing with pottery. It comes with everything you need to make your first few "masterpieces", including the clay. It also comes with a few tools for shaping etc., as well as some paint to decorate those masterpieces should you desire. For me, I prefer the wet clay as compared to the air-dry clay the kit comes with. However, the air-dry clay does not need to be fired so that makes a big difference. When you're done shaping let it dry and you're done. The price is a bit steep for a gift for a child. But it is really a bit more than a child's gift. This can just as easily be for the adult curious artist in your life looking for their next passion. For a starter kit it does really come with everything you need to decide if pottery is something you want to pursue, and if nothing else you'll come away with a few precious "masterpieces".
