I bought the short boards to keep in my Crosstrek for when I go hiking or snowboarding. The short size is convenient for a small SUV. The bag is a nice to have when these get wet and/or dirty. I got a chance to use them today when I went up to the mountains, where we’ve had very heavy snowfall the last few weeks. A lady had parked 20 feet or so off the road onto the snow/ice, and when she tried to back out, she dug herself holes by spinning her tires despite having AWD. I dug some space around her tires with a folding shovel, then placed these traction boards under the fronts. After some rocking, her tires bit on the traction boards and she made some progress of a few feet before losing traction again. We had to do it one more time, and this time she was able to make it all the way out onto the road. The traction boards held up nicely and seem to be intact after the recovery. After we got her free, the lady said that she will be buying some of these boards to keep in her car. I don’t see a need to pay 2 or 3 times as much for more expensive traction boards. I’m very happy with these All-Tops, and I’ll be keeping them in my car full time at least until the snow is gone. I give them a big thumbs up! ... show more

I bought 2 sets for my wife's and my cars this winter. I decided to also try them as leveling blocks for my Winnebago Trend. I stacked both, and even used a third. They hold up well and didn't deform at all. They work much better than yellow blocks that always slip around . These can kick out on asphalt when used with drive wheels but still way better than the old style yellow blocks. Great recovery boards! I got these as extras to compliment my OG MaxTrax mainly to help in leveling when camping. Can't beat the price. Only gripe is they didn't come with the promised bag. I even ordered a replacement from Amazon in case the bag was not included by accident, but alas the second one didn't have it either. I am still keeping them. ... show more

Tried all the other ones with the screw down knobs and nothing worked correctly. These, however, we're a completely different design, and obviously a lot of thought went into making a product suitable for many different board types and configurations. I wanted to utilize my t-slot system, and this worked a treat. With m6 screw treads in the bottom, just added t-bolts ( or use the supplied screws) , the supplied rubber mounts and it fit perfect. ... show more

Very well made mount. Includes all the hardware you need to install for different configurations and it's good quality. You can't Beat All-top's customer service. I had an issue with the nuts loosing holding the traction boards while driving, and they quickly responded and solved the problem

Shorter than typical boards. I bought 2 sets to give the option to stack, create a longer run putting them end to end or use on all 4 tire simultaneously. Used them in an overlap to create a little lift this past week at the outer banks of NC to free up a Kubota buried up to the chassis.
