Set-up is required. This comforter comes vacuumed-packed and needs to be put in the dryer on tumble dry with no heat for about 10 minutes - then it's ready to use. As soon as we put the comforter on the bed, Misty got in bed and made herself comfortable on her new comforter. The comforter is perfect for people as well as for pets. I love the fact that you can use this either as a comforter or an insert. The value for the money is just right it is so soft and comfortable easy to use. It fits perfectly. I put a king size on a king size bed, but I should’ve went up one size because I like for mine to hang over. Just received our cream cooling blanket and are we happy! Although it may appear thin, it definitely is cooling, but also helps you be so much more comfortable at night! This is the first night of straight sleep I have had with not waking up in the middle of the night warm (with the North Carolina temperatures). I will admit that I was apprehensive in ordering this as sometimes products don't live up to their description. The quality thus far appears to be good, although I'm not sure if it might snag due to the silliness but will be mindful of that. It is cool and soft, though not bamboo - it is polyester, but it still cools. As you can see, it fits well on our king size bed with with plenty of room for rolling over.
