🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Alienware OLED monitor is receiving rave reviews for its stunning picture quality, thanks to the combination of quantum dot technology and OLED. Users rave about the excellent color accuracy, high refresh rate, and outstanding motion handling. Despite few minor issues such as slight text fringing from a close distance and concerns of possible future burn-in, overall, the monitor's performance appears to exceed expectations, particularly for individuals needing a larger field of view or dealing with specific visual issues.

Pros

  • 🌈 Exceptional color accuracy and range, enhanced by quantum dot technology.
  • 🎮 Performs excellently in gaming scenarios with G-Sync and a good refresh rate.
  • 🌚 High contrast ratio thanks to OLED, providing true blacks.
  • 👁 Particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from certain visual issues.

Cons

  • 📝 Text fringing can be noticed when viewed too close.
  • 🕹 HDMI ports are only version 2.0, not 2.1, restricting higher refresh rates through HDMI connection.
  • 😰 Potential for OLED burn-in over time, though there are mitigating features and a 3-year warranty.
  • 💿 Eco Mode currently reported as glitchy, causing various issues.

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for a visually stunning, future-proof monitor ideal for gaming and other high-quality visual content, the Alienware OLED monitor is a worthwhile investment. Despite certain concerns around text fringing and potential for burn-in over time, the monitor's exceptional performance and features appear to outweigh its downsides, offering excellent value for its price.

  • Nice and big!
Display Size: 34 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 180 Hz Style: AW3425DWM
Beautiful monitor, I know, weird to say but it’s true! The description says black, but the base and back of monitor are a dark metallic blue. Not an issue for me as I’m always looking at the screen anyway. Bright, nice colors, used for everyday computing, website design, and watching videos online.

  • Impressed
Display Size: 34 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 180 Hz Style: AW3425DWM
This is the best preforming VA monitor on the market right now. Pairs with the tech in AMD and Nvidea 7000/9000 series cards and 40/50 series cards. It’s an amazing and beautiful monitor.. gaming is all I do. It is a power house. Great refresh rate and you can use upscaling to game at 4k if your rig can handle it. ... show more

  • Fantastic Product w/ Downsides
Display Size: 27 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 280 Hz Style: AW2723DF
I purchased this monitor a year ago after extensive research. I was looking explicitly for a monitor that had an IPS panel, a fast response rate, a high refresh rate, was QHD, and offered a great warranty. The Alienware offers all of these, at a great price. I’ll list the pros and cons that I’ve experienced over the year of owning this product. Pros: - IPS w/ 98% SDR/HDR color calibration out of the box - High SDR Brightness - 280hz Refresh Rate - 0.5ms Response Rate w/ overdrive - QHD (2560x1440) - Build quality is top tier - Zero ghosting - No flicker - Freesync Pro works with AMD/Nvidia cards - 3 year warranty out of the box from Alienware Cons: - Backlight Bleed is noticeable on black wallpapers or in very dark scenes, probably one of the worst I’ve seen. This is common with this unit if you search it. For me, it’s not a massive issue because I only use it for bright FPS titles. I have an ultrawide OLED for other games. - Alienware UI is lacking compared to competitors. The UI feels like there’s a lot, but there’s actually not. This is especially true if you try HDR mode, where the panel will lock the color, and brightness settings. Why this is makes no sense to me. - No HDMI 2.1. This doesn’t really matter since it’s not a 4k monitor, but I would assume it would have one since the monitor was released after the currentgen consoles. At the price, it surprised me. I use DP 1.4 either way, so it wasn’t an issue for me. - No speakers. This personally doesn’t affect me as I use either headphones or a surround system. However, it technically is a con. - Mediocre HDR performance. The HDR performance is mediocre at best. The gray uniformity isn’t the greatest because the backlight bleed, which takes away from the highs and lows HDR tries to accomplish. The HDR brightness is also technically below standard. I would recommend SDR, which looks very good anyway. - Semigloss screen coating. The coating appears more matte than semigloss to me, but it’s not bad per say. It’s still good enough to not wash out the colors like some matte coatings, but I definitely feel like calling this semigloss isn’t accurate. I would rather call it lightly matte. Conclusion: - This monitor excels at being a top tier choice at competitive fast moving games like CoD, CS2, Overwatch, Etc. However, it does not excel at games that would be better played on an OLED or MiniLED panel. I own this monitor strictly for FPS titles, and have the OLED AW3423DWF for other games. My use for this monitor is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who plays fast paced competitive games and can push the frames to utilize the refresh rate. ... show more

  • Pretty damn good
Display Size: 27 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 180 Hz Style: AW2725DM
For anyone who wants a TLDR: if this monitor is on sale for 170 or less, just grab it. This is not the greatest looking panel I've seen by far, especially since OLED panels are getting out and cheaper by the years, but this Alienware 2725 is solid. Good resolution and timing responses on the refresh rates, not to mention a very simplistic and height adjustable sliding stand. Not bad at all Alienware ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Awesome monitor! It has a beautiful bright hi-resolution display with a fast refresh rate for high performance for the competitive gamer that gives you an edge over most players using TVs and monitors with slower refresh rates. Alienware has a long reputation for quality and performance and this monitor is nothing short of that reputation. Great monitor and great value for the money. ... show more

  • I was hoping better from Alienware.
Display Size: 34 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 180 Hz Style: AW3425DWM
Not too happy with Alienware right now. I had an LG monitor that was close to this type of monitor in regard to specs. I had horrific problems with the LG monitor. When I spoke with LG support, their support was even worse. I learned my lesson. No more el-cheap-o monitors. I decided to go with Dell aka Alienware. Alienware, from what I was told, was Dell's premium brand. Dell being a United States company, the monitor had a 3 year warranty compared to LG's one year, and unlike LG, where if you don't email LG stating that you remove your self from forced arbitration if anything goes wrong (Just Google LG Forced Arbitration) you're up the old flag pole, This being the prem-o Dell monitors, I decided on Dell! The monitor arrived the evening of July 31, 2025. It's my baby, especially for the price I paid for it. Today, is August 4, 2025, about four days later. I was in LibreOffice (Open Source version of something like Microsoft Office). I was writing a report and in the middle of writing the report a large black vertical bar appeared on my monitor. See screenshot attached. Directly below this bar is the USB hub of the monitor, which is very hot to the touch. The monitor has never been bumped. It sits on top of my desk, plugged into an expensive surge protector. And, no lighting storm since I even had the monitor. I'm guessing a loose wire due to how hot it is directly below the vertical line. I called Dell support. Much easier to speak with than LG. But, all he could tell me is that it would take a week or longer before a replacement could be sent out. Since, the monitor is new and well within the 30-day return period, I decided to send it back to Amazon. So far, not impressed with Alienware. I thought I could trust Sheldon Cooper :). ... show more

  • Very good
Display Size: 24.5 Inches Display Resolution Maximum: 360 Hz Style: AW2523HF
This monitor is actually so good, it runs at 360 hertz which honestly is a bit overkill but we all overcompensate a bit right? It’s not too big either and I swapped from 4k to 1920 by 1080 which is this monitor and I didn’t like it at first but overtime I got used to it and my 4k monitor was only 120 hertz so the feeling is definitely worth it, it doesn’t stutter or flicker at all and it has pretty good color I just had to adjust it out of the box, I found a guide online with the best settings but I tweaked it until I liked it. ... show more
