I bought this Alien Roswell 56° Sand Wedge because the course I play on has some really tight lies and bunkers are not the best you'll ever play. This wedge is a perfect solution for any course condition you will find. Tight Lies chunk shots are not a problem anymore. Sand shots are no problem. This club will fit the bill for those who must pinch pennies to stay within our budget. At just under fifty bucks, I doubt there is a better club for beginners and high handicappers. It is not only easy to hit, but it looks great in my bag. It's not a name brand, but I am after a club that helps my game, and this it does. It has helped in the sand trap, which I found easier to do after some practice than with a sand wedge. I also found that I am less afraid of lobbing over sand traps and water as the club face is ample and inspires confidence. The club has a nice feel and is easy to swing because of its weight. I had one of the original Alien wedges years ago, and was bummed when they were declared illegal. I've had various sand wedges in the years between, and none measured up. I was delighted when I saw there was a new, legal version on the market, and ordered one immediately. I am pleased to report that the club feels amazingly like the original club, and played my first round with it today. So of course, I wasn't in a single bunker all day, but got a chance to use it on a few tight lies around the greens. Getting the ball airborne is effortless, and bare lies are no bother. With the old Alien I could hit flop shots off paved cart paths, but I don't care to scratch the new one up trying. Can't wait to try it in the sand. ... show more
