This robe is perfect!! It is so soft and warm. The heat in our apartment did not work very well and my husband bought me one of these robes for Christmas but let me open it early. I would wear it over my pajamas and with some thick socks and I was always TOASTY, and I am someone who is ALWAYS COLD! He liked mine so much that in the few days I had opened it early before Christmas, I was convinced I had to get him one for Christmas as well. He and I are the same height (5' 6") and after he tried on my Women's robe I was concerned that the Men's would be too long. It is definitely longer than the Women's but it still suits him perfectly. It is definitely not too long for a man who is 5' 6". There is an inner string closure that will help in keeping it closed so you can wear it all night/all day with no problem. Been wearing this for a couple weeks now and I love it. I've fallen asleep a few times wrapped in it. It's really warm and very soft. I do feel I have 2 things to mention that drops this to 4 stars. A common complaint is it sheds like no one's business. Absolutely true.I knew that buying it though from all of the other reviews. That doesn't still mean it's ok. I feel if the manufacturer could make it to where this thing doesn't end up on every piece of clothing I own while wearing it, It would deserve the 5 stars. Another are the sleeves. The inner seam is just like an inch or inch an a half too short. I lift my arms to grab anything and my wrists to forearm is now exposed and cold. It doesn't feel.. natural at all. I'll probably have a local tailor see if they can help me fix that issue. But buyer beware. If you like wizard sleeves or at least feel like there's a little more depth to your sleeves, this robe may not give you that. ... show more

Bought a pair of these (even if says they are mens) in the white color w/green & blue plaid for personal outdoor hot tub use as it can be a cold trip out or back. Fabric is not as absorbent as cotton but we dry off with a towel when showering and hot tubbing so suits our purpose well. Looks and fits great over any of our pjs for lounging with coffee. These are cozy to curl up in with a book when you have that luxury as they are not stiff and have just a bit of stretch. Wash and dry well w/o shrinking or pilling up in the dryer. Bought a short robe 5 years ago in this fabric and color, shape and size have held up great. Hood but it makes it cozy around my neck and back for extra warmth as we don't actually wear them like the picture :-). Sleeves are nice and long and can be rolled or cuffed up further should you need. Both my spouse and I have same size S/M and are 5'5" and 5'9" and they do not drag on floor but are long. We both like these very much and I am glad we did not spend the money on waffle weave as we originally would have as they often get stiff and lose the softness with time and lack that bit of give in the fabric for added comfort. ... show more

This is the warmest, softest, most comfortable robe in recent memory... and I work from home, a skinny guy in a drafty house, so a robe is daily attire for me -- I've owned more than a dozen just in the past 10 years. The robe is not heavy, just a single layer of fabric that's very plush on both sides -- and though the stiching looks good, I've only had the robe a few weeks. (I'll update this review if it doesn't hold up.) The pictures are accurate, but to be clear: The belt is a separate piece, and there's a second pair of belt loops 2" below the first pair. The thick hood is a rare treat -- with that up and my hands tucked into the opposite sleeves, I can follow the dog around the block in my PJ's in freezing weather, warmer than if I'd gotten dressed and put on my coat, gloves, etc. Indoors, the hood also lets this full-length robe double as a super-soft sleeping bag -- Ive found myself napping in it all sorts of places! The one drawback is that this is a FULL length robe. I'm 5'8" and the "small/medium" size hang about 6 inches from the floor -- if I don't pick up the front of the robe, I have to take stairs very slowly and carefully to avoid tripping on it. ... show more
